zumba-Wear

If you know me in real life, then you already know about my love of Zumba.  I took my first Zumba class in February of 2012 and I was completely hooked after my first time.  Was I nervous about trying it?  You bet.  I went to my first class all by myself because the thought of ‘sexy’ dancing – in front of of other people no less – was absolutely horrifying to me.  I was so self-conscious and afraid my jiggly butt would scare all the other people in the class away, but at the time, I really needed to lose some weight and since I had seen a few Zumba classes at my gym, I little bit of an idea of what I was getting myself in to.  So, I decided to give it a go and I’m so glad I did.  Zumba literally changed the way I thought about working out.

I am the biggest fan of Zumba there is.  I lost tons of weight by doing it and you know what?  It wasn’t as scary as it seemed.  The fact of the matter is, you don’t have time to look at anyone else other than the instructor because it’s a non-stop class, so no one notices or even cares if you “mess up”.  We all mess up, even those of us who go to class five or six times a week.  Zumba is intense, but it’s the funnest way to workout there is – in my opinion.  Zumba classes are an hour long (which almost never seems like we’re there for an entire hour) and they are made up of a mix of Latin music and hip hop songs.  My instructor changes her playlist weekly, so it’s always fresh.

If you’ve been on the fence about trying a class, I highly suggest giving it a try.  It’s a seriously fun way to workout!

With all that being said, when the folks at Zumba asked if they could send me a few pieces of official “Zumba” clothing, I was psyched.  I mean, who better than someone who goes to class as many times a week to test this stuff out than me, right?

I received this Cosmic Blast Racerback in my favorite color (purple, or as they call it – orchid):

And this Carpe The Hell Out of This Diem Tee:

I love both tops that they sent me.  In the warmer weather, I zumba in tank tops quite often because it’s such a high-impact workout and trust me, I get my sweat on.  The Cosmic Blast Racerback that I received fit me perfectly and was really comfortable when I moved in it.    When I saw that I was sent the Carpe The Hell Out of This Diem Tee, I cracked up because my instructor actually has this same shirt, so I feel like I need to coordinate with her before I wear it to class.  Both were true to size (I received size small), comfortable and they’re awesome to wear to class – or during any workout for that matter.

What’s even better is that neither of these shrunk when I washed them, so they still fit great.

Have you tried Zumba yet? If not, is it something you’d be interested in trying?

  4. Now you’re going to be Zumba styling too. :) I found the classes here and tried to persuade my daughter to try it (I know she’d love it) but she says nuh uh. I think we’ll ‘drop in’ on a class and see if that ignites an interest. I called and they said it’s okay for her to dance/work out too (she’s 14). I like your new Zumba clothes. :)

  10. Cute tops hun, I so would love a coordinated day with your instructor … lol

  11. I seriously love Zumba and agree, it is one of the best workouts! We go every Monday since that is family day, but I have been thinking of adding Tuesdays and Thursdays to the mix just for me. It’s so funny how many people try to shrink to the back of the class. Really, no one is watching, and if we do see you screw up, no one cares!

Cute clothing items! I do love that purple top!

  12. Those are some cute tops for working out! I haven’t attended a Zumba class, but have a friend who teaches them.

  13. Zumba Rocks! I’ll be going again once my friends wedding is finished. It is so much fun and I also love their clothing.

  14. Super cute! I need some motivating outfits like this!!

  15. I’ve been to a Zumba class with a friend. No I didn’t do it. I just went because it intrigued me and my friend has lost weight Zumbaing. Golly, I don’t think I can manage it with feet out of rhythym and stiff hips. But the racerback looks cool for any work out.

  16. Those are really cute! I love purple. :)
