**Masshole Mommy received four complimentary tickets for snow tubing and lodging at Loon Mountain in order to facilitate this post.  All opinions expressed here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way**

My boys absolutely love playing in the snow and one of their favorite winter activities is snow tubing.  When we had the chance to go snow tubing at Loon Mountain recently, we were all super excited.   Usually, I just “supervise” while the kids go tubing, but this time – I actually went, too!

The Tubing center was marked and easy to find.

Inside, we signed waivers, were given lift passes to attach to our coats and grabbed some tubes.

The boys were a little nervous to go up to the big hill at the top of the mountain, so we started small – at the tot hill.

The boys had so much fun on the tot hill, we actually ended up staying there for the entire hour.  As you can see, we did our tubing at night and as it happened, there was no one else on the tot hill at the time, so it worked out perfectly.

Here are some pictures from our adventure:

  1. I love tubing. And it is so much easier on the knees than sking

  2. I would totally have joined in on this too. It looks like a blast.

  3. Oh gosh, I haven’t been snow tubing in years. It looks like the tot hill was plenty of fun, so there was no need to go up to the bigger hill.

  4. OMG! What an absolute blast! Tubing at night and you had the place to yourselves. That’s awesome. I’m with you, I would rather supervise…ha ha ha, but will get out there on occasion. Usually my adventurous sister-in-law gets that ball rolling. We are going sledding with her today….hope I don’t do any damage. lol

  5. Haha this looks like great fun,i would of liked it in the night when not much people are there lol.

  6. It looks super good. I think you look so adorable in that pink jacket and ‘tubing’.
Ps- My kids are 8. And, here we have exams even for them :((

  7. Looks like fun and the girls actually have their own tube, my mother-in-law bought it for them last Christmas. Emma used it last year during a big snow storm, but not sure why we haven’t used it this year to be honest.

  8. Fun time enjoying the weather. Tubing is so much fun – not far from us there is a ski hill that has tubing..I really like it because there is a tow rope to get you back to the top of the hill. 🙂

  9. That looks like a lot of fun. Being from GA, when we hear “tubing” it means in the lake behind a speedboat! 🙂

  10. This looks like so much fun! I’m going to need to plan a winter NH trip in the near future instead of just planning summer trips. I had no idea you could do so many fun things in New Hampshire during the winter!

  11. I am so jealous of everyone experiencing the winter weather right now! It’s still in the 80’s here in Florida and I wish that a miracle would happen and snow would appear 🙂 Tubing is a TON of fun. I did it one time when I lived in Colorado and had a blast.

  12. Fun! The prices look good too! I went tubing with my daughter for one of their friend’s birthdays a couple years ago and it was a blast! Being drug up the hill by a zipline was awesome!

  13. I might even try that-at least on the tot hill! Chris really looked like he was enjoying himself every bit as much (if not more) then the kids!

  14. I always wanted to go to one of those places! Looks super fun! I used to just “supervise too”

    Love all your pics! 🙂

  15. I haven’t been snow tubing in forever! I think I need to talk hubby into a trip before winter is over!

  16. That is one thing we haven’t done in the snow here is tubing! We have this awesome golf range that turns into a sledding/tubing hill in the winter, and I’ve been meaning to take dannika! This place looks awesome!

  17. I would have looked like a fool but I so would have hop on down on one 🙂

  18. Love it!! So Awesome. I would totally been flying down that hill too.

  19. That looks like so much fun! I’ve never been to Loon, but it sounds like it’s worth checking out!

  20. I was JUST talking about going tubing with my daughter the other day. I’ve never been and it looks SO fun! I’ve tried skiing and that’s just too hard. 🙂

  21. I would love to take my kids snow tubing when they’re older. I remember going in middle school on one of those day trips, and it was fun!

  22. That looks like so much fun! I would love to go tubing sometime.

  23. That looks like a fantastic place! The only tubing I’ve ever been was down a river in North Carolina…

  24. I have never ever done this and would love too!
Happy to see you trying it out too!
Winter time has plenty to celebrate!

  25. Snow tubing is so much fun! I think you go much faster on a tube than a sled!

  26. Oh, I have to try this soon! I have not done it yet and it looks like so much fun! Great pictures!

  27. I have never experience this – bet it’s so much fun! <3

  28. Looks Like soo much fun!! I would love to go myself!

  29. Hahaha… now that looks like fun. I used to use the old inner tubes from big trucks when we were a kid.

  30. Tubing frightens me. I know it’s irrational, we sled all the time, but tubing seems so much more dangerous. Nonetheless, I know my boys would LOVE this!

  31. That is not regular fun, that is a blast! What great fun you all look like you are having!

  32. I haven’t been tubing in YEARS! looks like so much fun!

  33. That looks like so much fun. You are brave because my boys just went snow tubing and there was no way that I was going to go down the hill.

  34. That looks like so much fun. I have never been tubing since I live in Miami and well there is no snow here, EVER. which is a total bummer. Definitely something to look forward to if I vacation up that way though. 😀

  35. Definitely my least favorite snow activity. Not sure why, but I just think it’s crazy dangerous. You were lucky to just be with your family so no one would come careening into you and knock you off your tube. It could be that my one tubing experience involved a busload of middle schoolers…..

  36. Wow you all looked like you had loads of fun and I’m happy to see you finally infront of the camera instead of always behind it. 🙂

  37. I haven’t been tubing since I was young. but it still looks fun as an adult. I certainly need to take my ten year old because I know he would really enjoy it.

  38. Snow tubing looks so fun! If I am ever in the area in the winter my kids will have to try this.

  39. I am getting so jealous of all of your pretty winter photos! LOL! It looks like you guys are having a great winter!

  44. Tubing is better than sledding in my opinion. So much fun!

  45. We’ve never been tubing before, but it’s funny we were just talking about doing this. It looks like it would be a lot of fun!

  46. Oh how fun! I’ve never experienced snow before, and now you’re making me add more to my list of what I’d do when I do experience it!

  47. Oh wow this looks so much fun! I have never really done anything like that we didn’t have the hills for it as a kid 🙂 x

  48. This looks like a blast! I want to take my boys tubing. And my husband, too, since he grew up in the South and never went!

  49. That looks like a lot of sun. Definitely my kind of way of enjoying snow!

  50. I love that you jumped in on the fun! You got some great pictures even in the dark.

  51. I’ve been to the baby side of this when my nieces were little and it was a blast. They ski Loon a few times a year there now and while it’s more expensive than other mountains (especially for tubing) the employees are top-notch!

  52. I have always wanted to go snow tubing- at loon or otherwise. looks like a ton of fun!

  53. I’ve always wanted to go tubing. It looks so fun!

  54. Looks like you all had a lot of fun tubing. That’s great!

  55. They have ski lessons AND tubing? What a fun place and I think I’d be happy on the tot hill too!

  56. That looks like you all had a blast!

  57. This looks like so much fun! I wished it snowed here in Florida!

  58. Tubing is so much fun. I think we are going to go on Saturday at our local place.

  59. Every year in fall we make plans to go up to the Poconos for snow tubing and when winter arrives we chicken out (actually I chicken out, because its too cold). It looks like lot of fun and the prices are pretty reasonable too.

  60. I bet that’s more fun than sledding. Great times!

  61. These pictures bring back some great memories!! Love them!

  62. I absolutely LOVE Loon Mountain. We went zip lining there over the summer. My son is afraid of heights and got up there and the instructor was SO good with him! He answered all of his questions, was patient and Josh decided to go for it! I couldn’t have been more happy with it!! We will have to head back over there for the winter activities!

  63. This looks like so much fun! My kids would love this!

  64. WOW, looks like you had loads of fun, and it is an amazing place to visit I will have to keep that in mind for next years winter vacation!

  65. Oh I Miss Loon Mountain Looks Like You All Had A Blast!!!!

  78. I’ve never been snow tubing, but is looks like so much fun and something I could actually do!

  79. That looks like so much fun, and you are all adorable! Love your boots!

  80. I’m so jealous! This looks like so much fun! It was really cold here in Louisiana but no snow (like always).

  81. That looks like a ton of fun! I bet my teen and her friends would get a kick out of this!

  82. We did this a couple of years ago, it was so much fun! We are well overdue for another tubing session 🙂

  83. No way!! I had no idea there was places like this!! I thought there was just skiing – but tubing?!? I wonder if there is any place to do this by me, I’ll have to check!
