**Masshole Mommy and her family were invited to a complimentary meal at Skybokx 109 in exchange for my honest opinion of the restaurant. All opinions expressed here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way**
Last weekend my family headed over to check out Skybokx 109, which is a sports bar attached to the Hampton Inn in Natick, MA.
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the decor. The whole restaurant is decked out with lots of local sports memorabilia! How cool is that? If you happen to be a New England sports enthusiast, they have tons of televisions at the bar and throughout the restaurant, so you won’t miss a second of the game. If you don’t want to sit at the bar for the game, the regular tables are raised, so you can easily see several tv’s at once.
Skybokx 109 has a pretty extensive menu, which I was impressed with. It took us a few minutes to figure out what we wanted because everything looked so good. As an appetizer we ended up going with the Fried Mozzarella, which was served with marinara sauce.
They were SO good and as you can see, some of use had more fun with them than others:
Next it was time for our main courses!
The kids opted for pizza (my six year old) and a burger (the nine year old), I got a salad and Chris chose a sandwich. Here is everything we ordered that day:
Three Cheese pizza
American Burger: 10 oz angus, american cheese, l-t-o, fries
The California Club: roast turkey, avocado, tomato, country bacon, pesto mayo, sourdough
Caesar salad:romaine, asiago, croutons (I had grilled chicken added to mine for just $4 more)
As you can see by the look on my six year old’s face, the kids were thoroughly enjoying their meals.
I think the cleaned plate below speaks for itself, but I don’t want there to be any confusion about the fact that the four of us loved the food and left there completely stuffed! I actually tried a little bit of everyone’s food, you know, because I wanted to be able to give you my honest opinion about everything – and everything was awesome.
The portions were perfect, the food was all fresh & delicious and once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly. I love it when I order food at a restaurant and the food comes out in a timely fashion – especially when I am out with the kids. After all, hungry kids are cranky kids.
We all wanted dessert, but just didn’t have room. It’s a bummer because the Dutch Apple Pie and the cheesecake sounded awesome. I guess that just means we will have to go back!
Skybokx 109 has a Tailgate Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm, a $9 lunch menu 11:30-3:00 pm Monday-Friday and $12 weekday dinner specials.
I feel obligated to mention that the ladies room was spotless, which is something that I look for when I go out. Nothing makes me lose my appetite more than a dirty/smelly bathroom, so I very much appreciate a clean restroom and theirs was super clean.
Skybokx 109 is located at 319 Speen Street in Natick, MA, so if you are hungry and in the area – be sure to stop in! They offer a great causal dining experience along with some very cool decor which includes lots of local sports memorabilia and photos!
If you end up eating there, be sure to let me know what you thought.
