10 Totally Awesome Things You Can Do at Universal Studios Theme Parks in Orlando If You're a Chicken (Like Me)

**Disclosure:  I was invited to take part in an amazing press trip at Universal Orlando Resort, but all of the opinions you will read here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way.  Honestly**

Did you know that you can experience not one, but two world class theme parks when you visit the Universal Orlando Resort? Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure are both full of thrill rides and fun for every member of the family!  I got to spend an amazing day at both parks just a few weeks ago and I wanted to share some highlights of both parks with you.

The thing with me is that I am a complete scaredy cat when it comes to rides, so I spent many years of my life avoiding theme parks like these.

Seriously, just looking at this gives me anxiety:

IMG_0898

There is literally nothing on earth (or anywhere else) that would get me on it. I’m not joking. Thor could be sitting there smeared in Nutella (two of my favorite things of all time) and I still wouldn’t get on the ride.  See…..when I said nothing, I wasn’t kidding you.

But I digress.

I avoided theme parks in the past because I always thought that if I couldn’t do the rides, there was no reason for me to go, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Luckily there are SO. MANY. other things to do at both Universal theme parks, that you never even have to look at a roller coaster.  Unless you want to.

Here are some of the things a scaredy cat like myself can do at both of the parks and end up having one of the best days ever.

At Universal Studios Florida:

1. The Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Ride

Minions!!  I love the minions and seriously loved this ride.

The Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Ride is a 3-D motion ride in which you go on an adventure trying to make it through “Minion training”.  Only things don’t go as planned! All of the sudden you are riding through Gru’s super-villain laboratory along with Margo, Edith, Agnes, and the Minions. There are lots of twists and turns along the way.

Just so you know, you have to be at least 40″ to ride this ride.

dispicable me

2. TRANSFORMERS: The Ride – 3D

On this 3D ride, you can battle alongside Optimus Prime and Bumblebee as a new N*E*S*T recruit.   As you go through the ride, you will find yourself right in the middle of a war between the Autobots and Decepticons.

I really, really, really enjoyed this ride, but it was a very intense and immersive thrill ride, so if motion rides aren’t your thing – you may want to sit this one out.  If not, go – it’s a blast!

Riders do need to be at least 40″ to ride.

Transformers

3. Visit Springfield U.S.A., Home of The Simpsons!

If you are a fan of The Simpson (or even if you’re not), you will have a ball spending time in Springfield, U.S.A.  As you walk through town, you can grab a drink at Duff Brewery or Moe’s Tavern, meet some of the characters from the show or even eat at one, or all, of these infamous Springfield eating establishments:

  • Krusty Burger
  • The Frying Dutchman
  • Cleatus’ Chicken Shack
  • Luigi’s Pizza
  • Lard Lad Donuts
  • Lisa’s Teahouse of Horror
  • Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck

Yes, you can actually eat a Krusty Burger.  And be sure to stop by the Kwik-E-Mart while you’re in town, too.

Before you leave Springfield, be sure to take a ride on The Simpsons Ride™.  You can ride along with The Simpsons™ as they visit Krustyland, the theme park created by famed TV personality and shameless product huckster Krusty the Clown.

4. Ride MEN IN BLACK™ Alien Attack™

As an agent trainee, you’ll zap aliens as you chase them through the streets of New York in this high-tech, interactive ride based on the hit movies. But be warned… these aliens zap back, spinning your vehicle out of control.

5. Take in a show, visit a movie set or just enjoy some movie memorabilia!

Universal Studios is a real, working film and TV production facility?  It is!  Depending on the day that you visit, you might be able to catch a film crew hard at work on the backlot.  You just never know, so keep an eye out for film crews.  If they’re not filming the day you’re there, you can take in one of the many amazing shows they have at both Universal Orlando theme parks.  At Universal Studios Florida you can see shows such as Animal Actors On Location,  Fear Factor Live or Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue.  At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, there are great shows like the Eighth Voyage of Sindbad® Stunt Show or Poseidon’s Fury®, which is a live show uses multiple effects including four types of lasers and over 200 individual flame effects.

*Show times vary, so you should check your park map on the day of your visit. for the most current show times.

As you walk through Universal Studios Florida, be sure to keep a look out for some really cool movie memorabilia!  I spotted this as I was walking by, and since Back to the Future is one of my all time favorite movies, I was really excited to see it in person. It is the actual Delorean used in the movie.  How cool is that?

6.  Ride the Revenge of the Mummy

For this ride, Universal Studios took all the excitement of The Mummy motion pictures and put you right in the middle of the action. It’s an indoor roller coaster ride that soars up to 45 mph.

The jury is technically still out for me on this one.  I rode the Revenge of the Mummy on my recent trip and I needed a stiff drink afterwards.  As far as roller coasters go, it was small (because it’s inside), but still pretty intense. There is about a 25 foot drop, which was just a bit much for me, but don’t forget – I am a scaredy cat.  With that being said, now that I know what to expect, I might be able to be bribed convinced to go on it again.  Maybe.

People must be at least 48″ to ride.

7. Spend time at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Diagon Alley!

I am a major Harry Potter fangirl, so back when I heard that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ was coming to Universal, I knew it was something that I needed to experience at some point.  I was in my glory when I finally had the chance to see and experience it for myself.   What I didn’t realize at the time was that the experience was spread out over both Universal Orlando theme parks.  Read on….

At Universal Studios Florida, you can experience the magic of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Diagon Alley™.  When I tell you that they do it right, I mean they do it right. As you walk through the streets of Diagon Alley, you will be able to do things like shop at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, pick out your own wand at Ollivanders™ wand shop,  eat at the Leaky Cauldron™ and buy all the quidditch supplies you might need.   You can even go to the dark side & visit Knockturn Alley.  In case you didn’t know it, there is an actual Vanishing Cabinet inside of Borgin & Burkes! Right down to every last detail from the books and movies, Diagon Alley really brought the books and movies to life.

Diagon Alley

Ollivanders™ wand shop had thousands of wands stacked to the ceiling.  You can either choose your own unique Ollivanders™ wand, or select one of the many Harry Potter™ character wand replicas.

Olivanders Diagon Alley

While you’re in Diagon Alley, you can ride the amazing multi-dimensional thrill ride, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™, which is located inside Gringotts Bank – where else?  It’s a 3D multi-dimensional ride and it was so much fun.  If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you can’t miss it.

Escape from Gringotts

Outside of the entrance to Diagon Alley, you’ll find the Knight bus, be able to see the door to 12 Grimmauld Place and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch Kreacher the house elf peeking out of the window.

Once you’ve spent time at Diagon Alley, how about going to Hogsmeade (which can be found over at Universal’s Islands of Adventure)?

If you have a Park-to-Park admission ticket (meaning a ticket for both parks), you can pass through Platform 9 ¾™ and board the Hogwarts™ Express* from King’s Cross Station in London, which is located inside the Universal Studios Florida® theme park, and travel to Hogsmeade™ Station, which is located inside Universal’s Islands of Adventure®theme park (right next door to Universal Studios®). Or vice versa if you start your day at Islands of Adventure.

You will need admission to both of the Universal Orlando® theme parks to experience both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade! A Park-to-Park admission ticket or Annual Pass will give you access to both theme parks PLUS access to the Hogwarts™ Express! Or you can visit either land separately with a Single Park Admission ticket.

Hogworts Express

That brings me to #8……..

8. Visit Hogsmeade

When you’re in Hogsmeade you can visit Honeydukes™, The Owl Post, Ollivanders™ and so many more. Not only that, you can eat or even just grab a Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks™.

Hogsmeade collage
If that all wasn’t enough, you can make your way through the familiar classrooms and corridors of Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Once you enter the castle through Filch’s Emporium™ of Confiscated Goods, you will see iconic locations such as Dumbledore’s office, the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, the Gryffindor™ common room, the Room of Requirement and more.  And because I know you’re wondering, all of the pictures on the wall do talk to each other.

Also inside Hogwarts, you can ride on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™, where you can soar above the castle grounds along with Harry Potter™ and his friends on an amazing adventure, all while coming face-to-face with an array of malevolent creatures along the way.

Hogworts castle

No matter whether you are in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, be sure try some Pumpkin Juice, or Butterbeer, which is available hot, cold or frozen.  I stopped into the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade for a cold Butterbeer on my recent trip.  Being such a big fan of the series, there is no way I was leaving for the day without trying one.

It was awesome.

Also, the Hog’s Head pub in Hogsmeade also features its own Hog’s Head Brew, which is a unique microbrew for adults who are 21 and older.

butterbeer

(We’re still at Universal’s Islands of Adventure by the way)!

9. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man®  Ride

This is another immersive 3D experience and if you love those kinds of rides and want to get your Spider-Man fix, this is where it’s at. On this ride, you will get set to soar with your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! The 3-D effects on this ride are amazing and of course, you will see a cameo or two of Stan Lee on your adventure as you help Spidey save the Statue of Liberty. You and the web-slinger will scaling skyscrapers together and and plummeting to the pavement below in a simulated 400-foot freefall.

Fun fact: First ever combination of moving, motion-based ride vehicles, 3-D film and live action.

Children who are between 40″-48″ must be accompanied by an adult.

10. Stroll around Seuss Landing

If you are a Dr. Seuss fan, you will love it in Seuss Landing.  It’s just like walking straight into one of one of Dr. Seuss classic books! This area is perfect for the little ones with many rides geared especially for them. On The Caro-Seuss-el merry-go-round, with creatures who can turn their heads, blink, and wiggle their ears. On the One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish ride, kids steer their fish with a joystick, while they get directions on how to fly.

In Seuss Landing you can eat at the Green Eggs & Ham Cafe, grab a sweet treat at the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop or just walk around and take in the sights. And just like in the books, there is not a single straight line anywhere!

Seuss Landing Universal

While I was there I was able to take a ride on the The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! On this ride you are able to take a gentle journey high above the colorful rides and attractions of Seuss Landing and beyond.

Seuss Trolley

See, so even if you are a big scaredy cat like I am, you can still have a blast at both of the Universal Studios Orlando theme parks. There are literally rides, shows and attractions for every member of the family.

There are all sorts of ticketing options depending on your length of stay, etc and you can buy tickets online to both Universal Studios Orlando theme parks right here.

139 Responses to “10 Totally Awesome Things You Can Do at Universal Studios Theme Parks in Orlando If You’re a Chicken (Like Me)”

  1. Thank for sharing this as that first ride I am so with you and wouldn’t find me on to save my life – ever!

  2. Such a great trip. I can’t wait to go back!

  3. Robin! Just looking at the roller coaster brought excitement for me — that’s the places I love to go! And, just going there would be fun – but the heart pumpers are my thing!

  4. Would not get on that roller coaster for anything, including a million bucks. Welll..maybe.

  5. The Revenge of the Mummy is the best, best, best! I’m so glad we got you to go on it!

  6. I like the big rides and the calm rides. 🙂 Hubby will ride a select few roller coasters, but he usually opts out. He’s a semi-chicken. 😉

  7. These makes me so excited that we are heading there next week! I’m a little bit of a dare devil myself so I’m sure I’ll be trying to do everything!

  8. I’m like you – I don’t like any kind of coaster. Nope. Not at all. I closed my eyes through half of the Harry Potter ride, even LOL But just because I get motion sick, and that’s no fun at a theme park! So much to do there, though! We need to go back – haven’t been in a couple of years!

  9. Looks like an awesome place to visit! I loved seeing your pics! I’ve never been and it’s definitely on our list!

  10. Wow! The transformers look so cool! I have to bookmark this for our trip next year!

  11. This list is perfect for me! It’s nice to see how many options I have.

  12. What fun rides and selections. Tyler is all into the transformers and that would be the first one he’d want to ride.

  13. OMGOSH – this is soooooooo me! I’m not just a chicken, but a PUKER too. Now, I have kids that will get on the biggest baddest scariest roller coaster and ride it over and over and over again. I’m beginning to think that I didn’t birth these babies…they must have been switched at the hospital.

  14. Haha — all of these things sound like a ton of fun (even if you’re not a chicken!) Sounds like a great time!

  15. This made me laugh. I’m not *exactly* a chicken, but I love to eat and would rather keep my food in my tummy, you know?

  16. My family loves Universal and I’m like you, no way am I riding those scary rides. I did when I was younger, but I don’t like the feeling of my heart plunging into my tummy and not knowing if it’s coming back up! I always enjoy hanging out in Dr. Seuss land.

  17. Oh my word, this looks like such a blast. I haven’t been to Universal since I was a little kid an I remember loving it. I really appreciate you putting the height requirements, my kiddo’s are still a bit young, but it’s on our “wish list”. 🙂

  18. I’d MUCH rather go to the chicken attractions that ride a roller coaster. Roller coasters seem like death on a stick to me.

  19. These are awesome ideas! I LOVE roller coasters, so I’d ride them all almost! I have not been to Orlando since March 2003 or so, so it’s really neat to see all the new rides they have made. I really want to go to the Harry Potter portion of the park. It looks like a blast!

  20. I’m, too scared to ride most roller coasters LOL! I would love to visit Diagon Alley!

  21. Recently, I have the opportunity to visit Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and I had a blast. Lately, I too can no longer tolerate the dizzying motion rides. So, with everything else they had to offer, I had no shortage of fun whatsoever. 🙂

  22. I really want to go! We’ve never been to Florida only Universal in California but I would LOVE to go and take my family. It would be so much fun.

  23. Great list! Yes, I am a total chicken too! I cannot go on many rides at all!

  24. This is awesome! I can only take so much spinning!

  25. This sounds like so much fun. I am a thrill seeker but when toting around a child or walking around by yourself while the others in your group are riding the rides get boring. These sound so much more fun than just walking or sitting on the bench waiting on everyone. Can’t wait to go to the Harry Potter attraction.

  26. This sounds like a really fun trip! We had such a good time visiting on our last trip and your photos make me want to go again!

  27. Such a fun post! We are looking to take a trip to Universal in The winter and I will keep your ideas in mind – I love roller coasters but nothing spinny!

  28. So much fun! I will use this guide the next time we go – soon, I hope! We’d love to see film crews at work and thanks for letting me know that I might be the one family member ti sit out the Spidey ride. 🙂

  29. We’ve been to Orlando more than a dozen times with the girls but have yet to do Universal. It’s on our to-do list for October! Thanks for all the great insight on the two parks! Can’t wait!

  30. I concur with your amazing list! I visited Universal Studios in Orlando and I absolutely loved it! 🙂

  31. I’m still laughing that you call yourself a chicken. I would have never guessed Robin! I’ve never been with the kids and now I think we have to go. Thanks for your amazing list of suggestions.

  32. Ahhhhhh revenge of the mummy is my all time favorite ride!!!! Simpsons ride is cool too, but I miss when it was back to the future 🙁 that was the best ride ever. I need a universal trip in my life asap 😉

  33. I love a good rollarcoaster just as much as the next person, but I really want to go to Wizzard World & Suess Land!! I want to go with my sister next year, it would be a blast!

  34. Awesome pictures. Would love to visit there someday. Thank you for sharing!

  35. I’m pretty chicken when it comes to rides too – but I usually end up going on them anyway. Then crying HAHAHAHAHA

  36. Oh…I’m chicken alright, lol! I love these tops and idea! Thank you bunches for sharing your experience. It looks like a lot of fun was had by all!

  37. That is so very cool! We are headed their in April for the first time ever! I can’t wait.

  38. I could probably be convinced to go on the big rides but I’m not a thrill seeker like I used to be! I love that there is stuff for people to do that wither don’t like rides or can’t ride due to health reasons!

  39. Diagon Alley would be so amazing! I’m generally willing to ride anything, but my kids aren’t roller coaster fans. So I’m glad that there are lots of other options!

  40. I’ve always wanted to take our boys there and this post makes me want to even more. There is so much to do and to experience as a family there.

  41. Looks like you had a great time. 🙂 We took the kids in 2007, and Tony is dying to go back. Me, not so much. I’m kind of been there done that with the amusement parks lately.

  42. This is a great list! I am always wanting to watch other people on rides… lol!

  43. I’m definitely an amusement park person so I would be all over the roller coasters. And now, thanks to you, I can’t get the imagery of Thor smeared in Nutella out of my head… especially if it’s Chris Hemsworth Thor…

  44. Oh man. One day I will go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

  45. Looking at this post makes me feel like a kid again! I would love to go visit there!!

  46. Back to the Future and Harry Potter…melt…

  47. We simply ADORE Harry Potter World (both of them) at Universal. The first year we went, it was pretty dead. With the addition of the Diagon Alley, it gets pretty packed, so I would suggest maybe planning 2 days if you want to take it all in. I took over 800 photos just in Harry Potter and I am still going through them. I’ve been meaning to make my post since October, but i JUST finished editing my photos!

  48. I need to get back to Universal Studios again. They have so many great attractions.

  49. I really wanna try Diagon Alley! Last time I was there HP wasn’t done yet…

  50. I haven’t visited Universal Orlando in a while. I would love to go back and visit.

  51. Awesome ideas – we’re traveling there soon so reading this is perfect timing!

  52. These are awesome things to do at Universal Studios in Orlando. I have never been there before and would love to visit it some day. I love the idea of the Hog’s Head pub and drinking Hog’s Head brew. It sounds interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing.

  53. This place looks awesome! I can only imagine how fun it is visiting for an entire day with kids. I think I would feel like a kid again too.

  54. It’s good to know that I’m not the only scaredy cat when it comes to rides. I have only been on a roller coaster once, thanks to my oldest sister’s heavy convincing. Let’s just say that once was enough for me!

  55. I SERIOUSLY want to go to Harry Potter land!!! Someday I will go and drink butterbeer!!

  56. You and my son would be great partners. Nothing can get him on a roller coaster either. oh and the Minion ride is AWESOMESAUCE!!!

  57. I went to Universal Studios when I was a senior in high school and it was so fun. It’s changed a lot since then and I would love to go back!

  58. So many neat things. I spent 1 day there and there was so much more. I think it would take a week to see everything.

  59. I would love to take the kids here. Lots of fun stuff to do for everyone. I totally want to go on that roller coaster!

  60. I’ve been thinking about telling my husband we need to get season passes to Universal Studios but I’ve held off due to my children being little. I think they’d still enjoy it and you’ve convinced me to have this conversation!! Thank you!

  61. You are not alone with those ill-looking rides like the steel eel. My daughter is an adrenaline junkie so she love those kind of rides but not me!

  62. I am glad you had such a great time. I will ride anything, but I also enjoy watching all the shows.

  63. so much fun stuff to do and see….I miss going to US! It’s been awhile.

  64. That’s hilarious because the thing I loved MOST about Universal was the big, scary rides. Hulk made me laugh, cry, scream, it was amazing. But I also loved the Minion ride.

  65. I cannot do Revenge of the Mummy! I do love all the other ones especially the Simpsons ride!

  66. I want to go to Universal Studios SO BAD! I would totally do the crazy roller coaster though, I’m not chicken. My kids would love the Despicable Me ride.

  67. I always want to go on those big ‘scary’ rides, but because of my brain condition I can’t take the risk. It’s so nice to know there are still a ton of rides I can get on and attractions to see. Definitely makes me want to go out there even more.

  68. I’d love to visit Universal. The 3D rides look very cool, and I’d love to eat at all the restaurants at Cictywalk.

  69. This looks like so much fun! I’ve never been to Universal in the US but it looks like you could easily spend all day there.

  70. I haven’t been to universal in a long time, can’t wait to go again. I am going to need some of these ideas though, as I am pretty chicken too.

  71. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is amazing even if you only know a little bit about the series. I could have stayed there for the whole day!

  72. I love your reviews, they are so much fun and unique! I wanna go now!!!

  73. I would be right there with you honey. I do not love the thrill rides.

  74. I’m not a big thrill rider but I would love to explore all the magic of Florida. I am so glad I get to read and follow along with you 🙂

  75. This is great! Glad to know people at any thrill level can enjoy Universal Studios. Can’t wait to take our kids one day!

  76. I am SUCH a chicken so I love that you’ve compiled this list! The Minion Mayhem looks like fun!

  77. I loved Despicable Me. The Minion Mayhem ride would be right up my alley.

  78. I have a bad back so I HAVE to avoid the jerky type rides. Although the rollercoasters look really cool I have to admit I have more fun on the Simpsons virtual ride. I laughed so much last time we went to Universal that I had to go on it a few more times. LOL

  79. All of these look like fun things to do. It’s been ages since I have been there. I bet a lot has changed.

  80. I am with you on the whole scardy cat thing. You could have David Tennant Naked holding unlimited Reeses cups and I would NEVER get up there either! I would love to visit the Harry Potter area.

  81. I love going to both of the Universal theme parks. There’s so much to do and we always have a good time. We, however, like the rides in addition to everything else.

  82. I really want to see the Harry Potter stuff. I’m not a wuss, but I do have bad hips/back and a lot of the rides are painful experiences.

  83. I’m not chicken- bring on the roller coasters! My kid would love it here!

  84. These all look like great things to do and yes, I am a chicken too!

  85. LOL! Look at that roller coaster makes me excited!!! But I’d love to check out Despicable me too.

  86. I use to be able to go on all of those scary rides with my kids when I was young and foolish. No more. Glad you found things that are doable and fun.

  87. That Roller Coaster in the Picture looks super scary. I would definitely try one of the things you recommended here

  88. I’ve become such a chicken as I’ve gotten older so I wouldn’t be doing much at these type of places but taking it all in haha! That roller coaster? Would probably have me in an anxiety attack just seeing it!

  89. I have not been there in years! It has changed so much!

  90. There are so many great things to do at Universal Studios. I could spend the whole day at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

  91. Some of all my favorites are mentioned in your adventure. Harry Potter, the Simpsons, Transformers, Back to the Future – You had a great time and I’m glad you shared it.

  92. I adore Universal! So much to see and do. And I’m so lucky it’s only an hour away!

  93. The transformers ride sounds really awesome! And I would do anything for Thor – but I like roller coasters 😉

  94. Goodness there is so much to explore I would not know where to start! Love that Universal Orlando truly has something for everyone and is ideal for the entire family.

  95. I haven’t been to Universal for years but totally want to go back. I know my kids will love it as much as I did.

  96. So many great chicken ideas!! I don’t like all those scary rides so these ideas are just perfect for me..thank you!

  97. I have always wanted to visit Orlando but have never had a chance to get there. Thanks for the suggestions.

  98. I am so getting on that ride!!! twice.
but then I am going to hang out at Harry Potter land.

  99. I absolutely love roller coasters, but I know I would spend my entire day experiencing everything to do with Harry Potter. SO awesome.

  100. Look at all that fun stuff to do!! I love the Harry Potter pictures. I’d love to go see that in person.

  101. I would love to do the The Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Ride. Minions are so adorable!

  102. Total scaredy cat here so this would be perfect for me – clever twist post!

  103. My son is not much for the big rides either! Thanks for sharing!

  104. I went on the Transformers ride twice. Definitely one of my favorites. It started pouring when we got to the Harry Potter area, great ideas for when we visit later this year!

  105. All of this sounds amazing to get to do!! I had no idea all of this was in Orlando!

  106. I want to go to see the WW of Harry Potter so bad. Glad we are getting one in California eventually. That’s only one state away.

  107. Thank you for this because I’m totally a chicken about those rides, too. You couldn’t pay me to get on that top one.

  108. I like this version of Disney world! I’m not a fan of the super long lines that come with rides.

  109. I am the world’s biggest chicken. I hate thrill rides, and I’m always waiting alone for everyone LOL

  110. All of these Universal Studios posts have me REALLLLY wishing we could go!!! I forgot what age it’s great for, I went when we lived in California, so I was between 4 and 8!

  111. It;s been years since we have been there, do they still have the superhero section? My boys would love that!

  112. I totally have the opposite problem. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the scary thrilling roller coasters and rides like that!

  113. This is such a fun topic! I love that you shared the non-traditional things to do at a theme park!

  114. You’re much braver than you think! I could never do the Simpson’s ride! I get so nauseated

  115. I haven’t been to the one in Orlando so this is very helpful. I plan to go sometime next year, not sure yet on the date.

  116. I am not a huge fan of rides. I am glad to see there are so many great things you can do at Universal that i would love. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter looks amazing.

  117. It’s so true that there is LOTS to do even if you don’t like scary rides. I was just telling my mom that this weekend since she will be visiting with us in September.

  118. I want to visit Universal Studios when we are in the area next year. I was planning on it being just a day for my husband and I. Now, there are so much stuff my 4 year old would want to do that we may have to take him along!

  119. Great list! I have yet to go there but am hoping to take the kids soon. This was very helpful

  120. These roller coasters are big and scary! I would love to go there though!

  121. Love this! We went to Universal Studios L.A. last year and it was my favorite. The rides are fun and not scary! Thought it was more for adult fun. Loved it!

  122. I would totally ride the big, scary roller coasters! That Transformers ride looks awesome and I’m sure my girls would love Seuss Landing!

  123. I love Universal Studios! Can’t wait to see all the Harry Potter attractions.

  124. Unlike SOME people I know, I love going on the coasters and 3D rides! LOL I wish I lived closer to Orlando. I would have a season pass for sure.

  125. I get so excited just looking at the pictures! Iw ant to visit now!!

  126. still tons to enjooooy :)..I eally love rides, Robin..but perhaps, after 2 surgeries, I have to go easy myself hehehe…Can’t wait to enjoy Orlando with the kids 🙂

  127. I had no idea and this is why most theme parks turn me off. I’m just not into rides as much as everyone else! Fun!

  128. That Transformers ride sounds amazing! Of course not near as exciting as Thor smeared in Nutella, but that’s beside the point. 😉

  129. I don’t do rides bit my kids do. I’ll do theme parks just for them

  130. Oh gosh, I wish I can go there as well. I have only been in SG Universal Studios but I cannot wait to check other places too.

  131. Me and the rides? Not so much. Me and movie related goodies and Dr. Seussland? I’d be all over that!

  132. These are awesome things you can do at Universal! Very awesome list!!

  133. I want to hit up this park when the boys are older! I’m pretty sure I’ve never been to it when I went the one time. Although my boys hate rides… I on the other hand LOVE THEM! So maybe I should just go by myself. 😉

  134. I so hope to go one day with the boys!
