new-food-options-at-the-td-garden-in-boston

Picture this:  You & your family (or friends) head out for a night at the Bruins, Celtics or other event at the TD Garden in Boston.  You fight the traffic getting into Boston, find parking, walk from where ever you parked to the arena, get through security and suddenly you’re starving. It happens every time, right?

Whenever I head into the Garden, the first thing I usually do is make a quick detour to the closest restroom, find my seats and then scout out the food options. What I have always loved about the TD Garden is that they have so many great food choices.

Concessions and food options include:

  • Big Bad Burger: Signature juicy burgers drizzled with Gooey Sauce; optional double, triple or quadruple patties.
  • Boston Common: Local fresh seafood menu including fried clams, lobster roll, lobster bisque and clam chowder.
  • Garden Grill: Classic Boston sandwich menu that includes shaved steak roll with house made cheese sauce and fan favorite grilled chicken sandwich.
  • The North End Butcher: Kayem meats including an Italian sausage with peppers and onions and jumbo all-beef gourmet hot dogs.

garden2

  • Sal’s Pizza: A local favorite serving cheesy pizza slices, including the 18″ Sal’s Super Slice.

garden8

  • Taqueria: Must have tacos with a choice of grilled steak, chipotle lime chicken, or charred vegetables stuffed into a flour tortilla served with choice of fresh salsa.

garden6

  • Lucky’s Chicken: A fan favorite, the stand features chicken with signature seasonings.
  • Nachos & Beer: Primo nachos with barbacoa beef, salsa braised chicken, or black beans.
  • Hub Hot Dog: Gourmet hot dogs, freshly popped popcorn, and candy.

garden3

  • Bulfinch: Serving wine, cocktails and a variety of craft beers.
  • Haymarket: Grab-and-go market with pre-package drinks, candy, snacks, sandwiches and salads.
  • Back Bay BBQ: BBQ chicken, brisket, or pulled pork sandwiches topped with house made coleslaw & kettle chips.
  • Causeway Carvery: Roast beef, pastrami, or Thanksgiving sandwiches with salads and fruit or vegetable crudité cups.

Don’t worry, vegetarian, vegan, kosher and gluten free items are also available at the arena.

One thing that I am particularly excited about is the debut of the Frito Lay Test Kitchen this season, where some Frito Lay favorites will be “infused” into some fantastic food items.  I got a chance to try some of them at a food tasting event last week and now I can’t wait to get back to the Garden for a Bruins game so I can eat more of them.  A lot more.

The Frito Lay Test Kitchen is located on Level 4, Section 15 and serves items including Top N Go Walking Tacos, Cheetos Popcorn and Macaroni & Cheese topped with Frito Lay favorites like CHEETOS®, CHEETOS® Flaming Hot®, LAY’S® Jalapeno Cheddar Chips or LAY’S® Kettle Cooked Chips.

Legal Sea Foods (located on Level 4, Section 9) features items like Clam Chowder, Fish N’ Chips, Lobster Rolls and Shrimp Cocktail.

Other great food items available at the TD Garden include:

BBQ sliders, Chicken cheesesteaks, Thanksgiving on a roll (Carved turkey seasonal sandwich), Chicken and rice with yogurt sauce, Inferno fries, Steak & cheese dog, the Burger of the Month (Western burger for Sept & October; burger topped with onion rings, bacon and BBQ glaze) and a Secret Sauce of the Month (for fries & chicken fingers).

We had a great time trying out some of the new concession food items and like I said, we can’t wait to get back for more. My oldest loved the Top N Go Walking Tacos!

My little man was a big fan of the Cheetos Popcorn.

After the food tasting, we stayed to watch the Celtics play.

My boys were thrilled because it was their first Celtics game.

If you head to the Garden and try out some of the new concession food items, let me know what you thought of them.

**Disclosure: In addition to the invite to the food tasting event, my family received 4 tickets to the Celtics game at no charge. All opinions expressed here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way.
