best-family-friendly-restaurants-in-nyc

Traveling in NYC with your family can be an experience of a lifetime…until it’s time to feed everyone. You can end up spending a small fortune on food that you kids won’t even pretend to enjoy, yet alone eat. Instead of arriving and feeling totally overwhelmed, check out some of these family friendly restaurants in NYC. They’re sure to help you enjoy not just the sights and sounds of the city but also the tastes!

Beacon
25 W. 56th Street
Beacon is awesome because the open fire grill can be viewed from the restaurant, their food is awesome for adults but they also serve kiddie fare (and in a hurry). Little ones can color to their hearts desire while ordering from their own special menu and heads up, kids under 9 eat for FREE. This is all well and good but the best part is that you don’t have to suffer and eat French fries and pizza too. You can have a completely adult meal that you will LOVE while your kids also get to eat something fun, in an awesome location that is interesting and appealing.

Arties Deli
2290 Broadway, Near 83rd Street
Arties Deli is new on the food scene in NYC but it’s great for the family nonetheless. Pickles and bread come out fast and early to keep everyone sated until the meals arrive and they have tons of kid friendly food like fries, burgers, chicken fingers, and hot dogs! Everyone will have fun and be able to relax in this family friendly atmosphere while also getting a meal they will enjoy!

Jackson Diner
37-47 74th St. Near Roosevelt Ave
Don’t be fooled by the name, Jackson Diner is actually an Indian restaurant. Although they have a cash only policy you can’t beat the lunch buffet that’s only $6.95. It gets busy but sometimes with a family and kids busy is better. This isn’t a stuffy restaurant where kids are unwelcome and the buffet is sure to please even your picky eaters. It’s a great opportunity to sample some Indian fare without a huge price commitment!

Master Grill International
34-09 College Point Blvd. Near 34th Ave
Master Grill International is an awesome family friendly choice for dinner. They have live entertainment almost every night and they have TONS of different options as far as cuisine is concerned. Everyone will be able to find something they love and the live entertainment will keep everyone engaged and happy. What could be better than dinner and a show! They have a great salad bar which is sure to be a hit with the whole family, making your own salad is fun!

Denino’s Pizzeria
524 Port Richmond Ave.
You can’t go wrong with a pizzeria. Denino’s has been serving up awesome pizza and Italian fare in NYC since 1937. They have great pizza at a reasonable price and during the week you can get seating fairly quickly (which is awesome when you have screaming and hungry children giving you the look of death)! Check out their various pies that have fun and creative names, you’re sure to find something that the whole family will love. Being in NYC is a great excuse to eat pizza; it’s practically what the city was built on!

There are tons of great restaurant options in NYC. Because the city is such a tourist hotspot you just have to pay attention to your surroundings if you want to find a great family friendly restaurant on a budget. Eating pizza in the center of Times Square is probably going to cost you more than a taxi ride a couple blocks down will! You can save yourself some time and headache by planning ahead when it comes to meals. Your kids are going to get hungry and so are you so plan accordingly and avoid the really busy tourist spots when trying to find a good meal in the city!
