My family almost always stays close to home during the February vacation. I would be devastated if any travel plans we made got disrupted because of snow, so we definitely prefer staycations. My family and I recently got to experience a stay at the Element Boston Seaport and it’s the perfect location for a Boston staycation. It’s located right in the heart of Boston’s thriving Seaport District and there are tons of family-friendly attractions within walking distance of the hotel. As far as I am concerned that is a big selling point when I am looking for a place to stay with my family.
The Element Boston Seaport was built to be green from the ground up, guestrooms are spacious, stylish, sustainable and designed for comfort, providing guests with space to live their life while away from home.
Some of the amenities include:
Parking – When you arrive, they have short term parking spots out front so you can unload your luggage and get checked in. Be sure to do that first. When you’re ready to park, there is a public lot located just one block south of the hotel on Danby & D Street for $25/day. Hotel guests receive in-and-out-privileges so you can come and go as you please. If you need driving directions, please click here.
The lot is literally on the other side of the hotel, so you can’t miss it.
Rise® breakfast bar – Your Element Boston Seaport experience includes complimentary Rise® breakfast bar for every guest of the hotel.
You can look forward to hot breakfast sandwiches, delicious pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, house-made granola and complimentary coffee.
It really does make for a perfect way to start your day.
Lunch – Lunch is a chance to be casual or go explore. Element Boston Seaport offers healthy sandwiches and salads in their Restore: Gourmet pantry in the lobby as well as some prepared meal options. There are also several full-service lunch restaurants close to the hotel that the front desk team would be happy to help you find and/or arrange reservations.

W XYZ opens daily at 5pm and charges can be applied directly to your bill at Element. Enjoy Live At Aloft Hotels musical performances while visiting on most Thursday evenings. The hotel’s prime location in the Seaport District provides access to many activities and attractions in and around Boston. It’s walking distance to the Boston Theater District, the North End, Fanueil Hall Marketplace, the Boston Common, Boston Children’s Museum, the Boston Public Garden, Fenway Park and New England Aquarium. You and your family can even spend the day walking the Freedom Trail, which is a fun way to see many of these attractions along the way. One of the many reason I love Boston is that there is stuff to do there all year long, so that means you can visit Boston anytime and never lack for things to do. For your reference, here is a list of year round seasonal activities in Boston that I put together to make it easier for you when you do stay in the area.
During our stay at the Element Boston Seaport, my family walked to the North End for dinner and and passed lots of family-friendly attractions (the Children’s Museum & Fanueil Hall to name a new), making it the perfect place to stay for your next Boston staycation.
The Element Boston Seaport is located at 391-395 D Street in Boston, MA.
