The Inn at Mystic in Mystic, Connecticut sits high up on a hill overlooking Fishers Island Sound and Mystic Harbor. Once a private estate, the Inn at Mystic now consists of a hotel, restaurant, mansion, and full service banquet operations.   They’ve been welcoming guests for over fifty years and with relaxing accommodations including rooms with ocean views, Jacuzzis, and wood burning fireplaces – it’s no wonder.

Stay in comfort at the Inn at Mystic

The Inn at Mystic consists of three unique lodging choices: the Main Building, the East Wing, or the Haley Mansion. The Main Building and East Wing are centrally located on the property with 52 rooms decorated in a nautical style that fits in perfectly with the surroundings, all with modern amenities and private baths.

They offer rooms with either one king bed, one queen bed, two double beds or two queen beds. Some of the rooms have wood-burning fireplaces to stay toasty warm in front of, over-sized Jacuzzi bathtubs to soak in, and outdoor balconies or patios where you can relax and enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

So not only are the rooms are warm and inviting, they feature many of the amenities you’d expect to see in an upscale hotel. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and saw a Jacuzzi and a fireplace in our room. Our room also had an outdoor balcony with an amazing view! With all of those amenities, our weekend getaway was a real treat.

Check out this view from our room at the Inn at Mystic!

We were given kindling upon check in and logs for the fire were located right outside of the rooms.

Dine at the Harbour House Restaurant & Raw Bar

During your stay at the Inn at Mystic, be sure to stop into the Harbour House Restaurant & Raw Bar for a delicious meal. Their menu is a variety of seafood classics, comfort foods, and signature dishes, as well as 24 craft beers available on tap. Cocktails and dinner are served daily. Weekend brunch is served from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and on Sunday includes live jazz. Happy Hour Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Harbour House Restaurant at Inn at Mystic provides diners with a cozy, home-like atmosphere. For seafood lovers, Harbour House Restaurant offer s things like fried lobster tail, fresh local fish plus an extensive raw bar. There’s something for everyone on the menu.

My husband and I are not seafood lovers, or even likers for that matter. Thankfully there were plenty of other options on the menu. I got a fantastic Chicken Caesar Salad and Chris got a burger.  We were both very happy with our dinner selections!

Did I mention they have dessert?  We split this chocolate torte and were wishing we had ordered 17 more of them……

If live entertainment is what you’re looking for, look no further than the Harbour House Restaurant & Raw Bar. There is live entertainment every Friday and Saturday throughout the calendar year.

Oh, and check out the awe-inspiring view from our seats in the restaurant:

But wait, there’s more!

Downtown Mystic is only a short walk from the Inn (about 1/2 mile).  You can easily make your way to the boutiques, art galleries, museums and restaurants in the downtown area. Plus it’s home to Mystic Pizza – you remember the movie from the 80’s, right? The movie with Julia Roberts was based on that pizza shop. Or maybe I just dated myself.

Anyways…..

If you are not in the mood to walk downtown, the Inn at Mystic offers complimentary Mystic Bike Share bicycles (seasonal, May 1st to Nov 1st)!

Guests who stay at the Inn are also treated to a complimentary Continental Breakfast!  It’s available Monday – Friday between 7:30 – 10:30 AM in the hotel lobby. Hotel guests will also receive vouchers good for a continental breakfast or a discount from a brunch entrée of their choice, valid Saturdays and Sundays in the Harbour House Restaurant between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

The Continental Breakfast at the Inn at Mystic Harbour House Restaurant

Last, but certainly not least, the Inn at Mystic features an outdoor pool, tennis court, formal gardens and walking trails and boating activities in the Cove. There is so much to do, you never even have to leave the Inn!

I bet you are dying to book a stay at the Inn at Mystic after reading this! If you do, check in is at 3:00 pm and check out is at 11:00 am and the Inn at Mystic is located at 3 Williams Avenue in Mystic, CT.

My sincerest thanks to the Inn at Mystic for having us for the weekend and the incredible meal we had at the Harbour House Restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to get back.
