About Me
Howdy! My name’s Robin and I’d like to welcome you to Masshole Mommy, a blog I’ve been writing since October of 2009.
Urban Dictionary defines a masshole as “For residents of Massachusetts, it is an achieved title for drving faster, being wreckless, cutting other drivers off often, and having no patience for other drivers on the road”.
First and foremost, I am the mom of three boys.
Being a mom is the absolutely the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I am incredibly lucky to have my children in my life. I have a four year old and seven year old of my own and when I got re-married last October, I gained a bonus son, who is 14. My 14 year old is currently in 9th grade, my seven year old is in 2st grade and my four year old goes to preschool 3 mornings a week.
I am divorced from my kids father, but he is still a very big part of their lives, which I am very thankful for. I know that situation could have gone in a completely different direction and I feel so fortunate that it didn’t. I married my second husband, Chris, who is a tax accountant and an Air Force reservest, in Las Vegas on 10/10/10….and with a date like that, he’d better never forget our anniversary! Before you ask, yes, we did get married by Elvis. He’s an amazing husband and step-father to my children.
In addition to working from home full time, I actively participate my 7 year olds cub scout pack and I volunteer at my kids schools every chance I get!! I love, love, love introducing my children to as many new experiences as I possibly can. Part of those new experiences come with traveling and my family travels several times a year.
As for personal interests, I am an amateur photographer, a Disney fanatic, an owl lover (yes, I realize that’s totally random), a hardcore scrapbooker and I love all things paranormal. I recently joined up with a local paranormal investigation group and I’m currently in training. I watch way too much tv with some of my favorite shows being American Idol, Ghost Adventures, The Amazing Race, CSI (all 3) and Fringe. I truly enjoy traveling and my long-term goal in life is to someday own and operate my own Bed and Breakfast in northern New England.
Here I am with my husband, Chris, in Las Vegas. This was the weekend we went to get married:
