The Winnie the Pooh Movie is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on October 25th!
I know I’m gonna totally date myself here, but I remember when cable first came out. A sales person came door to door and I seriously think my parents were the last of my friend’s parents to sign up for cable. Back then, The Disney Channel was a premium channel, meaning it cost extra. My parents weren’t keen on it, but there weren’t really any other kids channels at that time, so they gave in and ordered The Disney Channel. My sister, brother and I thought we’d died and gone to heaven.
Winnie the Pooh was literally the first show we watched when we turned on the Disney Channel that day. I remember it like it was yesterday. Now I’m the mom and I’ve been lucky enough to share some of my childhood favorites with them – including Winnie the Pooh and his friends, so when I got the chance to review the new Winnie the Pooh Movie, I was stoked.

Last winter when the Disney Channel was making their transition to “Disney Junior”, they would show commercials for their new show Jake and the Never Land Pirates, which really caught the attention of both of my boys. The show looked cute, but what little boy can resist pirates? Since it’s debut on Disney, Jake and the gang have been in our regular television rotation.
