One of the key things to being able to do good yoga is having the right yoga mat.  Because yoga includes many poses on your hands, knees, stomach and back, using a comfortable mat makes all the difference in the world!  I’ve seen people using Jade Yoga Mats and I was super excited when I recently got the chance to review one for myself. Jade yoga mats are made of natural rubber - tapped from rubber trees, a renewable resource and unlike other mats, they contain no PVC, EVA or other synthetic rubber .  Not only does it make the mat super comfortable, it makes the surface non-slip!  Even better,  the mat is eco-friendly!

If you recall, I was hospitalized recently for extreme hypertension (high blood pressure).  In addition to medication, the doctors gave me strict orders to cut out as much sodium from my diet as possible and more importantly – to lose about 25 pounds!  As part of my weight loss journey, I’ve been wearing a BodyMedia LINK armband.  The BodyMedia Fit Armband is a compact armband that a person wears on their arm daily (about 23 hours a day) and it tracks how many calories you burn, sleep duration and the amount of steps taken.

Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother Review

Getting your little ones to go to sleep can be a challenge, but if you’re a parent – you already know that.  It’s funny how they can sleep so soundly in your arms, but the minute you go to put them into their crib, they go into full on meltdown mode.  It happens to all of us and every parent has their own technique for soothing their babies.  My method of choice was a bouncy seat.  It worked like a charm for both of my boys.  My oldest son is seven and he was born before Baby Einstein came onto the market and since I have two boys, my little man (age 4) got to use all the things we used for his big brother.
