Fall will “officially” arrive very shortly, and with fall comes apples! Whether your favorite variety is Granny Smith, Gala, Honey Crisp, or McIntosh, you’ll start to find them on every display at the grocery store, the kids are picking them on field trips, and you may even have them growing in your yard. After a while, the apple overload can get to be a bit much. Pair them with caramel in one of these recipes for an exciting twist to the usual apple recipes.
Caramel Apples – Let’s start with the basics. Okay, these don’t look very basic, but they’re caramel covered apples with other dessert toppings. Delicious and so much better than anything you’d ever get at the State Fair!
Caramel Apple Pork Chops – Sweet, Savory, and still pretty good for you. This one’s a twist on the hum drum applesauce and pork chop recipe.
Caramel Apple Bundt Cake – Simply, Wow. This couldn’t possibly look any more delicious. If you want to impress people, this is probably the recipe that will do it.
Caramel Glazed Apple Bundt Cake with a Cream Cheese Stripe – The cream cheese stripe in this recipe makes it extra special and would be great with coffee. It’s a must have for your next church social.
Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars – This one is exactly what it says. Caramel, apples, and cheesecake in a bar form. It’s easily adapted to a “regular” cheesecake recipe as well by omitting the pizelle cookies and baking it in a graham cracker crust. It does use canned pie filling, but you could easily use any apple pie filling recipe in place of that too.
Caramel Apple Cupcakes – A super easy recipe using a box mix, apples, and a frosting made with apple juice. This would be a really good recipe to have for a fundraising bake sale at school or for your child’s fall birthday party!
Caramel Apple Cupcakes With Caramel – Apple cupcakes with a caramel swirl inside and then topped with caramel frosting. Does anyone not love apples, caramel, and cupcakes?
Caramel Apple Dip – Chances are that you already have the four ingredients this super simple recipe requires. Put it together for unexpected company and they’ll think you have been slaving all day.
Caramel Apple Snickers Salad – If you put apples in it and call it a salad, it’s not bad for you, right? If you love snickers and apples you’ll love this.
Caramel Apple Galette – Galette sounds fancy to many, but this recipe is really a lot like an apple pie with only a bottom crust. It calls for canned pie filling and refrigerated crust, but there is no reason you can’t modify it with your grandmother’s homemade crust or favorite apple pie filling recipe.
Do you love caramel and apples paired together? What’s your favorite apple recipe?
