There is literally a fork in the road in Westport, Massachusetts.

After a little bit of research, I found an article that said the creator of the large dinner fork sculpture isΒ Tom Schmitt of Westport. Don’t quote me on that, though. Β I read several articles and/or blog posts about the fork and there are a few different stories out there about how the fork came to be (if anyone actually knows Tom and can confirm that he made it, by all means let me know so he can get the proper credit).

Either way, it’s pretty cool and definitely unique.

If you want to go see it for yourself, the roughly 12-foot-tall fork sits at the intersection of Old Harbor and River roads in Westport, MA.

  57. LOL I saw the link for this and I thought it was going to be a fork in the road, like where two roads split. Then I saw the title and I thought you were going to lay an eating fork in the actual road for some reason and I thought “I have to see why she did this.” And then I scrolled down and it was this huge GIANT fork LOLOLOLOLOL I can’t stop laughing lol. πŸ˜‰

  78. That’s really fun and would be so appropriate for a cultural center we have here. you have to bear right at a fork to get there. someone could create a cute bear to the right of a fork and stick it there. It would be a great landmark!
