I don’t like surprises. Let me rephrase that, actually. I love surprises when I don’t know they are coming, but it’s not cool when someone says to me “hey, I have a surprise for you, but I’m not telling you what it is”. Ask my husband if you don’t believe me.
I was contacted by the folks at Blind Surprise a few weeks ago to ask if they could send me a “surprise” and after checking out their website, it looked like a surprise that I could handle.
What is Blind Surprise you ask? It’s a monthly gifting service and they spend their time scouring the Internet from Etsy to Uncommon Goods to Quirky, and thousands of other sites to bring innovation to your doorstep. This isn’t the kind of stuff that you’ll find from Target; these are beautifully crafted products from talented expressionists.
Are you wondering what my surprise was?
It’s a FlipBelt.
The FlipBelt is designed to carry your on-the-go essentials without tying up your hands. Made of a moisture-wicking, spandex-lycra blend, FlipBelt slides right on and sits snug on your hip. No bulk. No bounce. FlipBelt is also machine washable and machine dryable!
The FlipBelt is perfect for me while I run. Now I can run hands free and I have a safe place to put my iPod, keys and licence while I’m on my run. The FlipBelt comes in a bunch of colors and imagine how excited I was when they picked a pink one for me. Pink is my favorite color after all.
It’s as simple as 1,2,3 to sign up for your own Blind Surprise.
1. Fill out a profile for yourself, or a friend (the perfect gift!) Tell us what you’re into- dancing, family, drinking, whatever!
2. Subscribe for 1, 3, or 6 months of surprises.
3. Get a unique gift shipped right to your doorstep that fits your interests!
Easy peasy, right?
Every Blind Surprise box will have 1-3 gifts that are worth a total of $20-30 (FREE SHIPPING!). Typically, they will gift one item per box and additionally, they will include literature with information about the artists and their stories.
If you like surprises, gift Blind Surprise to yourself. A one month subscription will cost you $25, 3 months is $73 and 6 months will run you $145.
What do you think? Would you like to get a surprise like this in the mail?
