One of my favorite sweet treats is ice cream.  I don’t care if it’s 20 degrees outside or 120 degrees – there is never a bad time for ice cream. When I was growing up, I had a bowl of ice cream for my bedtime snack every single night.  While I don’t have ice cream quite that often anymore, I certainly enjoy a couple of bowls of ice cream every week. Lately I have discovered homemade ice cream and am so excited that I am not limited to what they sell in the grocery store. Not that I have ever bought an ice cream flavor that I didn’t like, but I do like freedom of creativity that I have when I make my own. I have been on the hunt for some great homemade ice cream recipes lately and today I’ve rounded them all up into once place for easy reference.

Check out these amazing homemade ice cream recipes:

My family was recently on vacation up in New Hampshire when disaster struck. A big thunderstorm rolled through.  Gasp!  It was a major storm involving torrential downpours and ping-pong ball sized hail, so we were basically trapped inside of our condo (I’m just glad we were already inside when the sky opened up!!). Anyhow, not five minutes into it my boys both started with the “I’m bored” nonsense. Thankfully all of our devices were fully charged and ready to stream some some of their favorite shows on Fios.

I’ve had Verizon Fios for years and I have never been anything but happy with it!

I’ve hosted several Easter dinners at my house over the years, but this year I am happy to say I’m just a guest. My parents are hosting this year, but of course I can’t show up to their house empty handed.  Since my parents are making the meal (and they are feeding 12 people, so I know it’s a lot of work), I offered to bring a dessert – actually, I had told them I would bring a couple of Easter desserts because I want to make sure there’s enough for everyone.

That left me with the big decision of what to make.  I spent some time searching the internet for festive Easter desserts and treats the other day and came up with more than I could ever possibly make – but they were sure fun to look at. Here are some of the yummy recipes I found:

Easter Blossom Cookies

Italian Easter Bread

Carrot Cupcakes

When I was a kid, as soon as I got home from school there was always a snack there waiting for me.  My mom loved to bake and nine times out of ten, my after-school snack was a delicious homemade treat.  Now that I am the mom, I like to do the same for my boys and I get especially giddy when there’s a holiday coming up because that means I can make fun themed treats for them.

There’s no shortage of St. Patrick’s Day treat recipes out there, but I found quite a few good ones and have a nice collection of them for you here today. I am going to make it my mission to make everything on this list for my boys. And for the record, I’m making all of the ones that use Lucky Charms as one of the ingredients first because that is just plain awesome.

But who am I kidding, when it comes to food, we always go all out.

I will be spending the day cooking and baking in preparation of the game on Sunday, so I have been busy scouring the internet for awesome recipes. There are lots of great recipes to choose from out there and here are some of the ones that caught my eye:
