Summer is here and you might have heard your kids say already a time or two they are getting bored! If that is the case in your house, consider buying some new games for them! I have gathered some board games for tweens! These games are for that in-between age, and can be harder to find ways to keep them entertained with games! I have found some, and I think you all might enjoy them! These games are for girls and boys, and perfect for a family game night as well!

I think your tween will thank you if you bring home a new game for them. Let them play the game with their siblings, or have some friends over and they can hang out and play games!

Teacher appreciation

Teachers have such a key role in helping teach your children and allowing them to grow up. I know that I can remember a few teachers from school that made a huge impact on my life personally, and I am sure a lot of you can say the same thing.

I always think it is really nice to give an end of school gift to the teacher of your child! This is a great way to say thank you for helping me grow this year, and become that much closer to being a grown up!

Below are some really fun and adorable DIY gift ideas for teachers at the end of the school year. You can let your children help make the gift, or you can make it yourself, either way it will put a smile on the teachers face.

I’ve hosted several Easter dinners at my house over the years, but this year I am happy to say I’m just a guest. My parents are hosting this year, but of course I can’t show up to their house empty handed.  Since my parents are making the meal (and they are feeding 12 people, so I know it’s a lot of work), I offered to bring a dessert – actually, I had told them I would bring a couple of Easter desserts because I want to make sure there’s enough for everyone.

That left me with the big decision of what to make.  I spent some time searching the internet for festive Easter desserts and treats the other day and came up with more than I could ever possibly make – but they were sure fun to look at. Here are some of the yummy recipes I found:

When I was a kid, as soon as I got home from school there was always a snack there waiting for me.  My mom loved to bake and nine times out of ten, my after-school snack was a delicious homemade treat.  Now that I am the mom, I like to do the same for my boys and I get especially giddy when there’s a holiday coming up because that means I can make fun themed treats for them.

There’s no shortage of St. Patrick’s Day treat recipes out there, but I found quite a few good ones and have a nice collection of them for you here today. I am going to make it my mission to make everything on this list for my boys. And for the record, I’m making all of the ones that use Lucky Charms as one of the ingredients first because that is just plain awesome.

Are you all ready for the big game on Sunday? As you probably guessed, we’re BIG Pats fans here in our house, but no matter who you are routing for – game day just isn’t complete without an array of delicious foods. My family is going all out this year because we’re anticipating a big win, so that means we need to have more celebratory snacks on hand than we would if the Patriots weren’t playing. I will be spending the day cooking and baking in preparation of the game on Sunday, so I have been busy scouring the internet for awesome recipes. There are lots of great recipes to choose from out there and here are some of the ones that caught my eye:

10 Delicious Christmas Morning Breakfast Recipe Ideas

Are you one of those people who usually cooks a big breakfast on Christmas morning?  I love a big holiday breakfast, but we actually do it on Christmas Eve morning.  It started many years ago (about 10) when my sister was living with a roommate from out of state.  Her roommate’s family always came in to spend Christmas here in Massachusetts, so my sister came to stay at my house the nights of the 23rd and 24th to give her roommate and her family some space.

That first year we made her a big old breakfast and it just became tradition – even though my sister hasn’t spent the night of the 23rd at my house in many years.  I am always on the hunt for awesome new recipes to make for my family when we have our traditional Christmas Eve morning breakfast.  If you do a big breakfast for your family on Christmas morning, you will love these 10 Delicious Christmas Morning Breakfast Recipe Ideas:

10 Caramel Apple Recipes

Fall will “officially” arrive very shortly, and with fall comes apples!  Whether your favorite variety is Granny Smith, Gala, Honey Crisp, or McIntosh, you’ll start to find them on every display at the grocery store, the kids are picking them on field trips, and you may even have them growing in your yard.  After a while, the apple overload can get to be a bit much.  Pair them with caramel in one of these recipes for an exciting twist to the usual apple recipes.

Caramel Apples – Let’s start with the basics.  Okay, these don’t look very basic, but they’re caramel covered apples with other dessert toppings. Delicious and so much better than anything you’d ever get at the State Fair!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops – Sweet, Savory, and still pretty good for you.  This one’s a twist on the hum drum applesauce and pork chop recipe.
