I am super excited to share the news about the new Jr. Celtics program here in Boston. It’s their brand new official youth basketball platform where kids will have the chance to learn the values of Celtics basketball by participating in on-court training right at the TD Garden in Boston!  Yes, the kids get a chance to do some really fun drills and exercises on the very same court that our beloved Celts play on.  If you’re child is a Celtics super fan, the Jr. Celtics program will provide the ultimate basketball experience.

The Boston Celtics are providing the ultimate basketball experience for kids throughout New England by launching the ‘Jr. Celtics’ program.

Serving as the official youth basketball platform of the 17-Time World Champions, Jr. Celtics will promote the values of Celtics basketball through on-court training and exclusive events in a safe and fun environment directed towards youth development. Over 20 clinics will be offered in the program’s inaugural year, all of which will provide feature coaches, special guest VIP appearances and exclusive Jr. Celtics apparel. Clinics held at the Celtics’ Practice Facility in Waltham, or at TD Garden, will also feature exclusive access to team facilities. Continue reading »

Let’s be honest, Boston is the best sports town around. There’s really no argument there and when your family are all huge sports fans, you just have to take them to see their favorite teams play in person. Even if you have one of those mega flat screen televisions mounted to your wall, live games are so much better. There is nothing like the energy at live sports games – especially in Boston!  We take our sports very seriously around here!!

I’m really thankful that I live in an area in which we have such easy access to all of our sports teams and can go watch a live game pretty much any time we want. The thing is, my kids are not happy to just go and watch the game – they want the whole kit and caboodle: snacks, drinks and a #1 pointy finger thingie. As you know, that all adds up quick.

That’s why I am a huge fan of the Boston Celtics Family Packs.  Celtics Family Packs are an affordable and fun way to bring the whole family to the TD Garden for an unforgettable experience. By purchasing a Family Pack, you get to see the game, get snacks and each of your kids will get to walk out with a cool bag of Celtics swag.  All that for one price – that won’t break the bank. Yay. Boston Red Sox Baseball Summer Camp

I love living in the Boston area.  I always tell people that this is the best place in the country to live and I honestly mean it. One of the things I love the most about living here is our awesome sports teams. I love them all, but when I tell you that there is nothing like spending a day at Fenway Park watching the Red Sox play is one of the best ways to spend three hours in the city, I speak the truth. Sure, the Sox have their ups and downs, but whether they are winning or losing, they always put on a great show.  I learned something new about the Red Sox this year, though.  They hold a summer camp for ballplayers ages 5-13 every summer.  How did I not know about this before?

**Disclosure:  Both of my boys attended Red Sox Camp at no charge in order to share our experiences with you.  All opinions expressed here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way.

I am happy to say that my boys recently had the opportunity to attend Red Sox Baseball Summer Camp.

The Red Sox Camps curriculum is highly organized based on age & ability and is infused with lots positive energy to get kids excited about baseball. Along with instruction, the camps include: Continue reading »

**My family received tickets to see the New England Revolution at no charge in exchange for this post.  All opinions expressed here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way**

Recently, my family got the chance to head over to Gillette Stadium to watch the New England Revolution take on Toronto FC.  We were all really excited, especially since this was our first Revs game ever.

In case you’re unfamiliar with who the “Revs” are, the New England Revolution are our professional soccer team.  They play at Gillette Stadium, which is the same stadium that the New England Patriots play at.

My family was hosted by Santander Bank and we got to watch the game from the Santander Bank suite – along with a few other Boston area bloggers and their families.  The Revs mascot, Slyde, even stopped by to say hi to us during the first half of the game.

Before the game started, we got to go down to the field and watch the players warm up before the game. Continue reading »

Fantasy Football Isn't Just For Guys

Okay, so I am the queen of a house full of boys and I don’t think normal women love football as much as I do. I’m not going to lie—I’m in love with it! I’m especially in love with fantasy football. Since the whole family is going to get involved I decided that I might as well too. Here are some of my best tips as a woman to survive like a man in the fantasy football world.

Take Chances!

If you’re going to do the whole “fantasy football” thing the make sure you take chances. You can’t sit back and play it safe, you have to give it everything you got. If you’re holding back, it’s time to give a little more. In my opinion, you have to play as well as the real football players out there on the field.

The Right Team

You can’t play fantasy football without putting together the right team. You’ve really got to sit down and think about this for a moment. Think about putting a team together that will give you the best advantage. Don’t pick a football player just because you feel bad for him, pick him for your team because you know he’ll do a great job. Continue reading »

*My family and I were invited to this attend WWE’s Money in the Bank live pay per view event and received tickets at no charge. No other compensation was received. All opinions expressed here are strictly my own and were not influenced in any way**

Back in March I chaperoned my youngest son’s class field trip to the aquarium.  On both the bus ride to the aquarium and the ride home, all the little boys talked about was wrestling.  John Cena this and Kane that.  It was really cute, but prior to that, I didn’t realize that my son knew anything about any of the WWE wrestlers.  When we got home that night I asked him about it and he sure schooled me.  He knew them all and talked my ear off for a good half hour about the WWE and mostly John Cena.

When my family received an invitation to attend the live pay-per-view (PPV) event, Money in the Bank on June 29, 2014 at the TD Garden in Boston, I knew it was going to be the highlight of my boys summer!

We arrived at the show about an hour before the event started and my boys were super excited when we got there and they saw the ring all set up!

WWE Money in the Bank PPV

At the beginning of the show, Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan made an appearance and gave the audience an update on his neck surgery recovery was going.  As soon as they announced his name, the crowd went insane.  They cheered him for a good couple of minutes and after everyone settled down, he told us that he didn’t know when he was going to return and that he actually might need to have another surgery. I love living in Boston.  I grew up here and I couldn’t imagine living or raising my children anywhere else.  I could probably give you at least a million reasons why I love living here so much, but one of first things that comes to mind is the sports.  Boston is a huge sports town and we’re very passionate about our teams.

When I got an email from the Boston Red Sox organization recently inviting me to join the Red Sox Family as part of their inaugural Red Sox Moms Club, I don’t think I could have responded with a very enthusiastic YES any faster.  The Red Sox Moms Club is a  group of influential moms who live in the Boston area and over the 2014 season I am going to be telling you about some of the events, information and activities happening within the Red Sox organization.

Fenway Park

There is an amazing event coming up at Fenway Park, which is the home of the Boston Red Sox, that I got to preview last week and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.

That’s right, a yoga session right inside historic Fenway. Continue reading »

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to attend an event put on by our local major league soccer team, The New England Revolution. The event was a fashion show, held at Royale Night Club in Boston, in which they would be unveiling their new 2014 team uniforms.

Before the fashion show started, there was a cocktail hour with the players, which gave fans a chance to grab some autographs and take pictures with their favorite players.  Here I am with Bobby Shuttleworth, Goalkeeper.

I got to meet a lot of the players, actually. Continue reading »
