Halloween Pretzel Sticks

As a mom of two active little boys, it seems like we’re constantly celebrating mini milestones in our house.  Whether it’s  my little man getting a 100% on his spelling test or my big guy advancing in his karate class, there is always something to celebrate.  Mini milestones deserve a mini reward, right?  Something tasty like the sweet-salty combo of chocolate-covered pretzels for instance.

Since it’s October, we put a little Halloween flare into them, but you can get really creative with chocolate covered pretzels if you want to change things up.  That’s one of the reasons we love these so much.

Halloween Pretzel Sticks –

1 bag of pretzel rods, any brand

12 oz. Wilton white candy melts

Halloween sprinkles

Baking sheet lined with foil or wax paper

Directions –

#1. Heat the Wilton candy melts in a microwave safe dish in 30 second increments, stirring every 30 seconds until melted through. My microwave takes about 3-4 minutes for this.

Allow the melted chocolate to cool 3-4 minutes prior to dipping your pretzel rods.

#2. Take one pretzel rod at a time and dip into the chocolate. I used a large tablespoon to help cover my pretzels and spread the chocolate around evenly.

Sprinkle immediately with the Halloween sprinkles – sprinkle them over a paper plate, otherwise they go everywhere. 😉

#3. Lay the finished pretzel rods on the foil/wax lined baking sheet and repeat the process with the other pretzels.

Once once all the pretzels are dipped and sprinkled place the baking sheet in the fridge for 10-15 minutes so the chocolate sets.

If not serving immediately, store in a cool and dry place.
