If you are looking for cheap eats in Boston, here are six of the best places to get some grub. Your tummy will be happy and your wallet will be lighter.

Boston may be known for its fine dining options (my mind goes right to the Top of the Hub when I say that), but that doesn’t mean you need to break the bank to have a decent meal when you’re there. In fact, there are plenty of cheap eats around Boston, so you have plenty of dining options.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Cheap Eats in Boston

Sapporo Ramen (Cambridge)
Ramen lovers rejoice! Sapporo Ramen brings you a massive bowl of ramen for just over $10, and while the place might be surrounded by several other Asian restaurants, this one is definitely worth visiting! You’ll also get to choose from different options- the bases, the toppings and some side dishes too.

Kelly’s Roast Beef (Revere Beach)
Kelly’s Roast Beef is one of the most popular eat out places in the Boston area (they have multiple locations in Massachusetts), where a lot of people head to to get their hands on the best roast beef sandwiches around. If you’re up for it, also try their award winning lobster roll, or give the clam chowder a try! You won’t be disappointed when you eat at Kelly’s!

Anna’s Taqueria
Anna’s Taqueria started off in 1995, and is one of the oldest Mexican fast food restaurants in Boston, now with over 7 locations spread across the city. Grab one of their giant burritos that are filled with rice, beans and meat, and you’ll be full all day! The tacos and quesadillas are equally mind blowing, and the sour cream and guacamole deserve a special mention!

Cactus Grill
Cactus Grill is another popular Mexican restaurant in Boston that’s worth visiting. Get here to try their gigantic burritos that are filled with some of the most delicious ingredients you’ll ever taste. There are some other great choices on the menu including tacos and my personal favorite, chimichangas- you just can’t go wrong here.

Gene’s Chinese Flatbread Cafe
Gene’s may be well known for their garlicky flat noodles that are so filling and yet, so reasonably priced, but there’s so much more to it than just them! When you get here, make sure you give their delicious and super spicy soups a try or opt for the beef flatbread sandwiches which are again, so so good!

Sullivan’s
Sullivan’s (or as us locals call it: Sully’s) opened up in 1951, and since then, it has been one of the favorite spots for the locals to grab their favorite cheap eats- burgers, hot dogs, seafood and more. The fish and chips here are too good to not try, and if you’re opting for a hot dog, make sure you splurge on the chili and cheese!  Plus it’s on Castle Island, so you can eat your nom noms while you sit and watch the planes take off from Logan. It’s a cool experience AND the food from Sully’s is bomb!

If you are looking for cheap eats in Boston, here are six of the best places to get some grub. Your tummy will be happy and your wallet will be lighter.

Visit any of these 6 places and you’ll come out with a full tummy, some really satisfied taste buds, a smile on your face and your wallet hardly any lighter with these cheap eats in Boston!

Cactus Grill sounds great. I think we have one around here. I wonder if its a chain, or just a coincidence. It’s great to find restaurants that aren’t too overly priced. Especially with how expensive life is.

Oh wow. These restaurants are a must try. If our plans push through, I think we will be heading to Boston by mid-October. I will have to write down the names of these restaurants so I can remember to check them out when I am there.
