Dr Seuss Green Eggs and Ham Dessert Recipe

Dr. Seuss’s birthday is a wonderful time to enjoy all things Seuss related! The book Green Eggs and Ham is no doubt a favorite amongst children, which is why this Dr. Seuss Green Eggs recipe is sure to be a hit in your house. You can make your own green eggs in just minutes, and this is one sweet treat you won’t have to beg kids to eat! Here is how you can get started making your own green eggs.

Here’s what you need:

  • Vanilla pudding
  • Green food coloring
  • Nilla wafers

Dr Seuss Green Eggs and Ham Dessert

We found everything we needed at our local Dollar Tree. The vanilla pudding cups make it easy to add the coloring and for kids to stir. Plus, each cup makes two eggs which is perfect per child. You can also find the smaller sized Nilla Wafers like we used here. Perfect!

Here’s what you do:
1. Begin by adding 2 drops of food coloring to each pudding cup. Stir well. You can add more or less coloring depending on how deep of a hue you wish to have. For ours, we used 3 drops.

2. Once the color is stirred in well, scoop half of the cup onto a place. Use a spoon to move the pudding into a nice big circle. Repeat on another part of the plate using the second half of the cup.

3. Drop a Nilla Wafer into the center of the pudding. It will look like the yolk of the egg. How cute is that?

Your Dr. Seuss green eggs are now ready to be enjoyed. Serve with a spoon or allow kids to dig in and use their wafer for dipping. Either way, this is one green egg you won’t have to bribe them to eat.

The book Green Eggs and Ham is no doubt a favorite amongst children, which is why this Dr. Seuss Green Eggs snack is sure to be a hit in your house.

The kiddos will be happy to enjoy their green eggs snack in a house, with a mouse, you get the point!

I’ll have to do this for my kids. They’ll get a kick out of it. They are older, but they’ve always loved Dr. Seuss. Plus, Dr. Seuss shares a birthday with my son. Or I guess my son shares a birthday with him 😉

What a fun idea. When I first read the title I thought it really was green eggs and ham, but your fun twist I’m using putting in vanilla wafers will make it a kids favorite for sure!

Well now a snack can’t get any easier than store bought vanilla pudding and wafers. Mix in some green food coloring and to da. A fun snack for everyone to enjoy.

Such a simple idea and yet so much fun. My son used to love the book when he was younger. I am thinking this would be just a fun desert to make one night.

This is a much tastier option than actual green eggs and ham. We used to try to make that and it was always a little gross.

This is a great idea. So much better then the actual green eggs and ham too. I think I’ll have to do this with my girls. They’ll love it.
