I am so excited that summer is almost here.  I consider myself lucky that my boys would much rather be outside all day rather than being glued to their screens for their entire vacation. The thing is, it’s gets pretty hot around here in the summer, so I like to help my kids cool off a couple of times throughout the day. I accomplish that by making ice pops and various other frozen treats.  I mean, what’s better than an ice cold popsicle on a hot summer day? Not much.

I prefer to make my own frozen treats because I can control what I put in them. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that my boys really like it when I include other “things” in their frozen treats.  By “things” I mean candy.  Since Airheads are a favorite with both of my boys, I recently decided to put some into the popsicles I was making for them.  The kids loved the Fruit Punch Airhead Popsicles I made and have been asking for more almost every day since. They’re easy and fun – what more could you ask for?

Fruit Punch Airhead Popsicles

Here’s what you need:

  • 3 Capri Sun Juice Pouches, fruit punch flavored
  • 1 pkg. Airhead Extremes Rainbow Candy
  • 6 count Popsicle Mold

Here’s what you do:
1. First put 2 pieces of the rainbow candy down in each popsicle mold.

2. Pour the juice into each mold and fill until almost to the top.

3. Put the popsicle handles down into the molds and freeze overnight or until frozen.

4. Enjoy your fun treat on a hot summer day!

It doesn’t get much easier than that, folks. If you want to surprise your kids with a fun frozen treat this summer, too, try these Fruit Punch Airhead Popsicles. I bet they will be as big of a hit with your kids as they are with mine.

What’s your favorite summer treat? Will you be trying these Fruit Punch Airhead Popsicles?
