Not long ago I told you about the Brick Safari at the Stone Zoo (you can read my previous post here). From now through January 5th, when you visit the Stone Zoo in Stoneham you have the chance to see over 40 life-sized animal sculptures made out of LEGO® bricks!
My family was there to check out the Brick Safari on opening weekend back in October, but this year only during their annual festival of lights, ZooLights, you can see the Brick Safari sculptures amongst the holiday lights! ZooLights dazzles visitors of all ages each holiday season!
Stroll along tree-lined paths lit by thousands of twinkling lights! When you attend ZooLights, you will be able to spot the life-size animal sculptures made from millions of colorful LEGO® bricks, all aglow for the holidays.
My favorite part of the Brick Safari is that the LEGO® sculptures are spread out throughout the zoo, so it’s sort of like a scavenger hunt to look for them as you walk along. Don’t worry, they aren’t hard to spot!
In addition to the festive lights of ZooLights and the Brick Safari, you can also take a little break to warm up by the fire pits and toast some marshmallows for s’mores (available for purchase).
While you’re roaming the paths at the zoo, be sure to visit Santa’s Castle to get an exclusive peek at sculptures only seen at this event, and of course, to meet Santa himself! Jolly Old St. Nick will be available for photos through December 24! Oh, and if you look closely, you might even spot a real reindeer!
The Brick Safari is only at the Stone Zoo until January 5th! The Stone Zoo is located at 149 Pond Street in Stoneham, MA! There is plenty of free parking out front.
Make the holiday season bright at ZooLights and as an added bonus this year only, take in the Brick Safari while you’re there! ZooLights runs November 22 – January 4, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. (Closed Nov. 28 and Dec. 25) and for those of you who want to go during the day, the Stone Zoo is open daily from 10-4 (again, they are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day)!
