Here are a few easy fitness hacks for busy moms so that you can get everything done while building that muscle tone as well!

Being a busy mom means that you end up putting everyone else before your own needs or wants. Well, that’s not any way to live life, but alas, it’s the life of busy moms everywhere. Even though you’re a busy mom, it’s still important to squeeze in some fitness during your busy days. Today I’m featuring some fitness hacks for busy moms so that you can get everything done while building that muscle tone too.

5 Fitness Hacks for Busy Moms

Brushing Teeth Wall Sit

You’re supposed to brush your teeth for 2 minutes twice a day, right?! Will utilize this time to sneak in a little fitness. While you’re brushing your teeth do wall sits. Simply place your back against the wall, lower yourself into a “sitting position”, without a chair, and hold that pose for the entire 2 minutes of teeth brushing. Depending on how fit you are, you may not be able to do the full 2 minutes at first, but you’ll work your way up in no time.

Let’s face it, busy moms do spend a bit of time sitting during the day, especially if you work a sit-down type of job. Every blogger and work at home mom can do this fitness hack for busy moms all day long. Take your arms and place them beside you on the chair you’re seated on, lift your body and hold for about 5 seconds (or more if you can) while tightening your abs. This is a great way to sneak in fitness during a conference call or waiting for something to download.

Wall Push-Ups While you Wait

Ideally, you can do wall push-ups anywhere, but I’m sure you don’t want to try to do these while shopping at the store or waiting for your kids at school, even though it would be pretty entertaining to watch a busy mom do wall push-ups while waiting at the school for her kids. Rather, you’ll do push-ups against the wall, just like you would in the lay-down position while waiting for water to boil or the microwave to be done cooking.

Walk For Errand Running

If you live in an area where walking or taking a bike ride to run errands is a reasonable fitness hack, then take advantage of this. While walking or riding a bike may take a bit longer for errand running, it’s a wonderful way to sneak in some fitness during your busy mom day. You can also use this fitness hack for busy moms when driving to a store, by parking further away from the store to sneak in a little brisk walk to and from the store.

Drink That Water
While fitness hacks for busy moms are generally more focused on physical activity, I say that drinking water is a fabulous fitness hack for busy moms. Consuming water can help flush out the toxins in your body, keep you hydrated and help you lose weight by curbing hungry pains throughout the day. Increase your water by using your own sports water bottle that you refill with ice cubes throughout your busy mom day.

  1. I do calf raises and pushups (using the kitchen counter) while I’m cooking sometimes. Now that my kids are all grown, I work out every day but when they were little, it was so hard to find time for fitness. These are all excellent ideas!

  12. One thing I do is stay hydrated as I work at my desk. I do go to the gym almost every day but getting these mini workouts is a great idea.

  36. I love the brushing your teeth idea! I never would have thought of that. I live very rural so walking to run errands is not an option but I never park close. I often park at the end of the lot and walk. UNLESS, we have -25 temperatures like we did this past week! I often walk around the house while I am taking business calls instead of sitting in my office!
