Spread the love

In case you hadn’t noticed, experience gifts seem to be all the rage these days. In case you don’t know what an experience gift is, it’s just what it sounds like – it’s an experience. Think things like taking a flying lesson, white water rafting or even taking a cooking lesson. When it comes down to getting gifts for that hard to buy for person in your life, an experience is definitely the way to go.  I always say that life is about making new memories and an experience gift is a great way to do that.

Cloud 9 Living offers a whole range of experience gifts starting at just $50! Pick something you’ve always wanted to do or give someone a gift they’ll never forget! From stock car racing to couples massages to zip lining, Cloud 9 Living offers 2,000 Experiences in 51 Cities.

As many of you already know, I lost my mom last month and now that all the hubbub is starting to wind down, I thought it would be fun to grab my dad and sister for a fun adventure.  After the last six weeks, we all really needed it. And yes, I do have a brother, too, but he has a new baby at home, so I figured he could go next time. You know, when he’s able to get a good nights sleep and can enjoy it a little more.

I spent a few minutes looking through what was available in Boston and knew exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I saw it: a Boston Helicopter Tour. I knew that my dad had never been in a helicopter before and that he’d really enjoy something like that. When I told him, he was super excited and so was my sister.

We were originally scheduled to take the tour two weeks ago, but due to high winds that day we ended up rescheduling the tour. The three of us went on our helicopter tour this past Saturday and had a blast.

The tour was run through Blue Hills Helicopters based out of the airport in Norwood, MA.

We flew with an FAA certified and experienced pilot named Sivert aboard a Robinson R44 helicopter – the world’s most popular helicopter. Sivert is here from Norway and he was a wonderful tour guide.

On our 30 minute tour, we got to see the sights of Boston including Fenway Park, Harvard, the Charles River and the city skyline.

The three of us got to see landmarks that we all know very well from a whole new perspective.

And seriously, check out this shot of a quarry we flew over.  That’s an angle you don’t see every day.

If you are looking to book an experience with Cloud 9 Living all you have to do is head on over to their website. Once you are on their website you can narrow your search down by gifts for her, gifts for him, the experience type or the most popular so you can find the exact experience you are looking for. Once you choose your experience with Cloud 9 Living, you will get an gift certificate with instructions on how to make the reservations for the experience you chose emailed to you and the best part is that they never expire! Then when you have some dates in mind for your experience, you just call Cloud 9 Living’s customer service and they will walk you through the booking process.  It couldn’t be easier.

If you’ve been around here for a while, you might remember my previous Cloud 9 Living experience: A Romantic Dinner for Two.  I had an Executive Chef, with 23 years of experience, come to my house and prepare a 4 course meal myself and my husband. It was a dream come true.

My dad, sister and I were all so happy with our helicopter tour.  It was a great way to spend a little time together and make a great memory. Which experience would you choose?
