On our first full day in Disney World, we had tickets to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. We had already spent the entire day at the Magic Kingdom and then headed next door to Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort for an early dinner before the party. Once we were done with our dinner, it was time to head back to the Magic Kingdom for the party. We brought our costumes with us that morning to save time, and we decided to change into them while we were still at the Contemporary – that way we would all arrive at the Magic Kingdom in our costumes.
The thing is that even though the Contemporary Resort is right next to the Magic Kingdom, it’s a bit of a walk, so it’s easier to hop on the monorail and ride over. Which is what we did. In our costumes.
Yes, we got a few funny looks, but for the most part, most of the people – especially the ones with kids, played along.
PS – I was in costume, too, but there are no selfies of me on the monorail, so you’ll have to come back tomorrow to see what I was dressed as.
