In the little town of Raynham Massachusetts, there is a restaurant inside of a two story milk bottle.  I grew up in the next town over (Easton) and I remember going there quite often for breakfast as a kid.  Back then I didn’t think anything of it.  Actually, I still don’t.  While my husband and I were having breakfast there recently, it occurred to me that a gigantic milk bottle is probably a bit unusual….ok, a lot unusual – and I thought it was worth sharing.

The 40 foot Milk Bottle is located at 785 Broadway in Raynham, MA.   They serve breakfast and lunch, but it’s a cash only establishment, so if you’re big on using your debit card everywhere like me, stop at the ATM first – unless you want to end up doing dishes for the day.

I’ve never been there for lunch, but I’ve been for breakfast hundreds of times over the course of my lifetime.   It’s small inside the restaurant, so if you get there after 8 am – be prepared to wait for a table.

The food is inexpensive and the portions are huge, but honestly – the food is just average. I think eating inside a giant milk bottle kind of makes up for that, though.

  1. That definitely is unique and different. Something, if I saw in person that I wouldn’t forget anytime soon. 🙂

  2. Sounds like a great idea to me!!

  3. I think that’d be fun to visit!

    • Ha, the big kid just happened out here and asked, ‘wow, what’s that?’ hahaha I guess she’d like the milk bottle restaurant. 😉

  4. I would like to try eating there once… even if the food isn’t all that great. Just to say I ate in a giant milk bottle would be enough for me.

  5. I have never seen anything like that before what a great idea for a restaurant the breakfasts look appetising even though you state it’s average but I want to know
Is the bottle of milk semi-skimmed? 😉

Hope you had an eggtastic Easter 😉

  6. I’ve been there a few ones and we love it there. The food isn’t the greatest, but it’s a fun experience.

  7. ahhaha sheesh, that is one crazy looking restaurant. The food might not be the best, but at least the place is memorable huh?

  8. Now that is so cool – I would love to go and have breakfast in there, definitely make a talking point. x

What a fun place – though it does look a bit like what we call over here, “greasy spoon”! that’s okay now and again though. YAM xx

  10. Oh wow that’s unique! I would love to eat there!

  11. I’ve never eaten breakfast in a giant milk bottle, but there’s always a first time for everything.

  12. Where do you find these places? Lol. I would love to try that once in my lifetime! At least the food wasn’t terrible, and I agree, dining in a milk bottle does make up for the average food

  13. Massachusetts is such a fun place! I’ve actually driven by that restaurant before – we’ll have to stop next time!

  14. I think you have a gift of finding things nobody else would ever find. That is such a great place and I would love to go there with my kids. I need you to visit here so you can help me find the unique places like that.

  15. My kids would think that is so cool! My husband would be irritated at the only cash policy though. He tends to skip over places that aren’t debit card friendly.

  16. I love sampling new breakfast spots. Thanks for letting me know that they only take cash. I always get stuck at places that don’t accept cards since I never carry cash.

  17. That would be fun to take the grandchildren there. I bet they would like the idea.

  18. Huge portions, inexpensive prices and inside a milk bottle? Who could resist?

  19. That sounds like a lot of fun! The Food looks really good!

  20. That’s so interesting to eat there. It makes you wonder why they chose to have that building that shape.

  21. Reminds me of the big chicken in Marietta GA – it’s a KFC and they have roosting legs that straddle the checkout counter!

  22. That looks like a really cool place to eat. Yum!

  23. How cool is that?! I don’t think I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant with a cool shape like that.

  24. OMG how cool to eat inside a huge milk jug. That is way awesome.

  25. That’s neat – a giant milk bottle! Never heard of this place, but it would be a novelty to take the family to eat there.

  26. Looks really fun! On the way to my daughter’s college, we saw a McDonald’s that was shaped like a giant red barn. This is cooler, though.

  27. My son would flip! And so would I! What a fun place to eat, yummy!

  28. This place looks so cool and unique! My boys would think it so cool to eat breakfast in a milk bottle.

  29. I thought for sure you were going to say that you ate ice cream for breakfast at the Boston Children’s Museum. Who knew that there was more than one milk bottle shaped building in the area?

  30. UGH If I am going out for breakfast it has got to be good or I start my day off disappointed.

  31. Hmmm. Yep, I think the whole eating in a milk bottle would be the highlight. There was an elephant in New Jersey. I never got to visit it, and it has been closed for a couple of years now. They also do a Valentine’s brunch on a ferris wheel. Weird even for me. Especially since I’m scared of heights.

  32. Oh my gosh that is so cute! I would love to have breakfast there.

  33. That is one GIANT milk bottle! This looks like such a unique and fun place to visit. My daughter, being a milk lover at heart, would get such a kick out of this.

  34. That’s pretty funny that you didn’t think it was unusual to eat inside a giant milk bottle!

  35. Love your honest option about the food being average!! lol I would love eating in a giant mild bottle.

  36. Oh wow, that is funny! I’ll have to check this place out on my travels.

  37. What a fun little place! We have a local brunch spot down the street that is cash only, too. It is always hard to remember!

  38. Cute concept! If they have creamed chip beef, I’d stop for breakfast. ^.^

  39. How fun is that! You always visit the best places.

  40. That is very cool!! I would love to eat in a huge milk bottle.

  41. That is so cool! I’d like to visit this place & have breakfast 🙂

  42. Ok I have to ask. Was the building ever anything besides a restaurant?

  43. What a neat building! Is it completely round inside too, or is that just the outside?

  44. Sounds like it’s more of a “just for the experience” type of place.

  45. That looks like so much fun. My boys would really get a kick out of that. Breakfast in a two story milk bottle, the food looks amazing.I am the same away with my debit card as well.

  46. Thanks for sharing! Looks fun to be inside =) #WW

  47. I think I’ve heard of that before. Those hash browns look good 🙂

Sounds cool in a milk bottle 🙂

  48. Honestly, I’m coming to move in with you. It seems you are always out finding the most exciting and unique places!

  49. That looks so cool! I would totally go there just to say I ate in a giant milk bottle!

  50. It’s like we don’t even live in the same state! You always showcase places I’ve never heard of and this one really tops them all! I once drove to Easton every day for a week in July to take a French cooking course. The course and the drive were awful. For one week I knew the area so well! Isn’t it funny how you become so familiar with a place and then you stop going and totally forget about it.

  51. What an experience. I love breakfast food. Even plain eggs is yummy!

  52. That is quite an establishment! I would go there just for the experience!

  53. That would be awesome to eat inside a milk bottle – such a creative idea!

  54. all that hype for mediocre food I think eating in a milk bottle is great idea and cleaver they should meet the demands and upgrade their food taste and styles and I’m sure they could make a ton of money and be a great tourist trap

  55. Huge portions and inexpensive breakfast? I am so there. I love breakfast. My kids would love the milk bottle!

  56. I would love to have breakfast here 🙂

  57. That is very unique. I love it. When I go home I always stop in to a local place called “Ma’s Bakery.” When you walk in you might get the impression that it is a dive, but it has some of the best food in the area. And the prices are great. I love hometown flavor.

  58. That place looks amazing! You visit a lot of interesting and unusual places. I would love to have breakfast there sometime!

  59. It certainly looks delicious – but I guess the experience is half the thing, right?
the best breakfast places are always some greasy dive places. I don’t know why – or maybe it’s just because I tended to end up in those places after a really long night out.

  60. Seriously FUN idea! My son would talk about eating there for days

  61. That is wayy cool!!! Reminds me of a local landmark here where I’m from. It’s a coffee pot restaurant, literally shaped like a coffee pot. It’s been torn down but the road where it was located is called Coffee Pot rd. I wish that little building was still there! I found a photo of it here on Pinterest. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/139470919683445076/

  62. Aw, that’s insane! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  63. So cool! I love little places like this! Eating in a 40 foot milk bottle would be a fun stop, I think my kids would even enjoy it!

  64. How fun does this look? You always find the coolest spots!

  65. haha, that is awesome and definitely worth sharing. I mean, where else can you eat breakfast in a giant 2 story bottle of milk? LOL
