Remember last week when I told you all about my boys karate belt testing? Well, my little guy earned the other half of his stripe last week and this past Friday night, both of my boys attended a graduation ceremony at the dojo where they got to perform for all the families and more importantly, they were presented with their new belts.
The way it works at my kids dojo, is that black belts are presented every six months (June/December) in a larger graduation ceremony at a nearby school auditorium, but on the off months (March/September), the ceremony is held at the dojo.
My little man was up first and he earned his yellow belt (yellow is the second belt in the order). Look how proud he looks!
After they were presented with their belts, they got to showcase their form:
I know this picture is blurry, but it was so “karate kid” that I had to include it:
Next up was my big guy, who earned his blue belt (blue is 5th in the order):
Then his group did their form.
They were both so excited and they are looking forward to learning their new forms. I’m very proud of both of my baby boys!
