This delicious pumpkin pie smoothie is perfect for the pumpkin lover in your life!

My husband and I have a running joke about the fact that my youngest son is just like me.  And in so many ways he is. From the fact that our feet are always cold to the fact that we both sleep with a fan and a sleep mask on every single night. Another thing we both share is our dislike for eating first thing in the morning. Frankly I could wait until lunch to eat, but obviously I can’t send my little guy off to school everyday without something in his tummy. That sort of forces me to get a little creative when it comes to a light breakfast. I generally make him a smoothie because it’s filling, but not overly heavy. One other thing that he and I have in common is our love of all things pumpkin!  I decided to make him a “Lighter” Pumpkin Pie Smoothie recently and it was a huge hit. With both of us.

“Lighter” Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 can of pumpkin puree (pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 large banana
  • 6 or 7 ice cubes
  • 1 container of your favorite vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 3 Tbsp of Hood Simply Smart Milk
  • Optional: whipped cream for garnish

Here’s what you do:

Put all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth and BOOM – that’s it.
