Like me, I know most of you are busy moms and being as busy as we are, sometimes we just need to get away. Sadly, a trip to warm tropical destinations is not always in the cards, but a staycation can be just what we need. Recently my husband and I had a chance to do just that – take a little staycation – at Extended Stay America in East Providence, Rhode Island. Yes, I live in Massachusetts, but this hotel is only about 30 minutes from me. This hotel is in a great location and there’s a ton of things to do in that area, so I was thrilled about the weekend away.

  1. It looks like a wonderful hotel! I love a good staycation. We regularly get hotels 30 minutes to an hour from us for our “vacations”. It is a lot of fun to not have to go home for the night .

  2. That looks like a great place to have a little stacycation. The rooms have that homey feel that I always love in a hotel.

  3. That hotel looks like a nice little place for a weekend giveaway. I love how clean and attractive the rooms are, and they even have that continental breakfast area which is nice, too.

  4. We like to take weekend getaways too, but now that my husband is graduated we’d really like to start some longer road trips. We’re definitely looking forward to the northeast, and Extended Stays are great for kids.

  5. My hubby and I used to do Staycations and now after reading this I think we need to book one ASAP. This hotel looks really great, we don’t have those hotels here I think, and I’m not even sure what would be comparable. Looks like you had nice accommodations while you were away,

  41. This looks like a lovely hotel for a staycation. My husband and I love going on staycations, so we’ll have to keep this one in mind in the future.

  42. Woah even a cooktop in the rooms? This would be perfect when staying in a city for more than 3-4 days. That way you can save by buying food and cooking instead of going out every day to eat.

  43. I love that Extended Stay has so many pet friendly locations. We don’t usually travel because it is so hard to find a pet friendly hotel.

  44. I always look to see if they have a breakfast with the stay. We did a staycation once, and loved it.
