When a lot of people think about the state of Vermont, they think of winter and probably more specifically – winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. But did you know that the Green Mountain State has a ton to offer in the summer as well? Not only are the mountains breath-taking to look at, there are so many family friendly attractions and activities in this charming state. My family had a chance to experience one of those family-friendly attractions last week. The brand spankin’ new Adventure Center up at Killington Mountain that I told you about yesterday was a huge hit with my kids, but today I wanted to tell you about where we stayed while we were there: The Killington Grand Resort Hotel.
At the Killington Grand Resort Hotel you will find that they offer a 75-foot outdoor heated pool with two hot tubs (open year-round), a state of the art health club that includes a sauna & steam room, the Killington Grand Spa – a full service spa, a game room, coin operated laundry services, multiple conference rooms, complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, complimentary DVD library plus XBOX games and components, the Grand Essentials Coffee and Sundry Shop (open daily) and Ovations Restaurant & Rendezvous Lounge, which is their onsite restaurant.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite during our stay, which accommodated up to six people. In addition to a queen bed in the bedroom, the suite included a queen sofabed & a queen murphy bed in the living room.
There are also one-bedroom suites that accommodate four guests and includes a bedroom with queen bed and a queen sofabed in living room. One-bedroom suites offer one bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchenette with the following:
- Refrigerator and freezer
- Oven and stove
- Dishwasher and soap
- Essential pots, pans, glassware, dinnerware and utensils
At the Killington Grand, there are rooms & suites in many sizes that can fit up to 10 people. All rooms & suites include:
- Bathroom amenities
- Fresh linens and daily maid service
- TV and DVD players
- Telephone service with voice messaging
- Iron & ironing board
- In-room coffee
Our suite had a deck with an amazing view of the pool and mountains in the background.
And speaking of the pool, we spent quite a bit of time there during our stay. Part of the pool is inside, so my boys were totally fascinated being able to swim to the outside from the inside.
From the hotel, we were able to walk over the convenient ski-bridge, which lead to the Adventure Center. Also from there, you can access the ski slopes in the winter.
Our family had thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel and my boys have already been asking when we are going back.
