Back in November, we headed up to New Hampshire for the weekend and one of our stops was The MWV (Mount Washington Valley) Children’s Museum. It’s a great indoor kids activity center with tons of interactive, hands-on exhibits. The MWV Children’s Museum is a great place to bring kids ages 0-9.
At the museum Kids Can:
- Put on a puppet show
- Dress-up in their Drama Center
- Play with Trains in Transportation Exhibit
- Climb the Life Size Tree House
- Play with Shapes and Designs
- Cook in their pizza Kitchen
- Design structures in the Lego Room
- Romp in the Infant and Toddler area
- Look through the Huge Kaleidoscope
- Climb in the Castle & Tractor (see my pictures below)
- And TONS more…….
Here are some pictures of our recent trip:
Here’s the tree house and let me just say that the boys had a BLAST in there:
Two out of three of my guys had a battle with this tiger:
And I loved that my six year old had so much fun taking care of the babies in the “playing house” room. He even got Chris in on the act:
And finally, here are the boys making Chris and I some pizza in the kitchen:
I think this is a great place to bring kids if you’re in the area and need something to do. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but there are two floors of loads of fun exhibits inside, so check it out if you have a chance.
Hours: Thursday thru Monday 10-5pm and they are located at 2936 White Mountain Hwy (Rt 16) in North Conway, NH (next to Stan & Dan Sports). Admission was $5 per person (yes, this is one of those places that charges for the adults, too – and for the record, I hate places that do that), but I heard the prices were going up in December.
If you kids are anything like mine, they won’t want to leave.
