Are you searching for something to watch on Netflix tonight? With so much going on in the world and the weather getting hotter, it may be worth it to have a list of binge-worthy shows to watch. It’s nice to have a list of shows to watch whenever you’re looking for some downtime, or if you’re like me, all you have right now is downtime.

Below you’ll find my top 10 binge-worthy shows on Netflix. If you have run out of things to watch, here are a few shows to add to your list.

Here are my top 10 binge-worthy shows on Netflix. If you have run out of things to watch, here are a few shows to add to your list.

A Series of Unfortunate Events
This show is a great idea for any age, as it has many elements that capture attention. It’s whimsical, suspenseful, and a bit odd but pulls you in fast and takes you on a ride.  Plus, who doesn’t love Neil Patrick Harris?

Dead to Me
This is not for children. but if you enjoy dark comedies – this is for you.  It’s about two friends who were brought together by a tragedy and a series of events that unfold afterwards. There are only two seasons so far, so you can bust this one out in two days if you try hard enough.

The Good Place
If you’re looking for comedy, The Good Place is a great one for older children and adults to laugh like crazy and enjoy the entire show. There are three seasons of this on Netflix to keep you occupied for a good amount of time.

You vs. Wild
We all love survival expert Bear Grylls, right? Of course we do!  Well if you haven’t checked out You vs. Wild, you need to.  It’s an interactive (yes, interactive) show that I promise you guys are going to love.  Using your remote, you guys will determine what Bear does during the show. For example, you can choose to swim through a river or take a bridge over it and each scenario would have a different outcome. And the best part is, when you’re done watching it you can re-watch it and make different choices!

American Horror Story
This show is definitley not for kids, so you will want to binge this one after the kids go to bed.  Each season is a different story, but as you move along in seasons, sometimes there are tie-in’s to previous ones.  AHS is gory, pushes the limits and the creep factor is usually pretty high, but it’s so well done.

Riverdale
Based on the characters from the Archie comics, this more grown up and somewhat dark version of Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica will have you captivated as you try to figure out the secrets of their little town. And there are a lot of them.  It’s a good watch and this would be ok for older teens, but not little ones because of some of the adult themes.

Supernatural
Supernatural is a series that isn’t little kid-friendly, due to its level of horror, not so great language and many innuendos. But if you’re comfortable watching it with your older teens you won’t regret it. Supernatural is about two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, who hunt monsters (vampires, shape shifters, etc) and end up going though hell, literally, in the process. My hubby and I have been watching this show for years and have re-watched the early seasons more than once.

Ozark
Money laundering is more exciting than you think. This show is not for the kiddos, but you will become invested in the characters in this show real quick.

Stranger Things
You haven’t seen Stranger Things yet?  What in the world are you waiting for? This show features Dungeon’s and Dragons, a girl named Eleven who loves Eggo’s, a parallel dimension aptly named the upside down and the chick that plays Lydia in Beetlejuice- how can you go wrong?  Seriously, though, it’s one of those shows that draws you in right from the get go and you won’t be able to help yourself from hitting “play next episode”.  Oh, and shout out to Barb.

Tiger King
Hey all you cool cats and kittens, just give in and watch it. Even if it’s for no other reason than to understand all the memes. You will never be able to order lunch at the zoo again after watching it, but this train-wreck definitely deserves a watch.

There you have it a list of binge-worthy shows to catch on Netflix. I hope that you’ll use this list as a means to find something to watch with your loved ones while you’re stuck at home on a rainy or super humid day this summer season.

I love Dead To Me. Lately I’ve struggled to find time to watch any shows that aren’t kid-friendly. My daughter is a night owl, so we’ve been re-watching Brooklyn 99, New Girl, and The Office.
