This past weekend, I took my kids to see Yo Gabba Gabba’s “It’s Time to Dance” Live Tour at the Agannis Arena in Boston and we all had a really great time.
My four year old is a big Yo Gabba Gabba fan, but when I found I that I was going to the show, I was curious as to how my seven year old would like the show. He’s transitioning to live-action “tween” shows and hasn’t seen an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba in quite some time. To my surprise, he liked it better than anyone! I mean, how can you not love Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex, and Toodee? They are so colorful and the songs are super catchy! Plus, DJ Lance Rock was there and he’s so cheerful and engaging in that fabulous orange, furry hat. He really kept the show moving with his high energy & spunk.
The stage was set up with a huge LED screen behind the charaters in which they were showing kids dancing and various other pictures throughout the show. The show itself played out like a “greatest hits” episode of the show in which they played all their popular songs and they were all sung with high energy and the stage was lit up with bright, colorful lights.
We really had a great time of the show and anyone that has little kids who are big fans of the show should consider taking in a live performance when the tour comes to a city near you. Check here to see if they will be visiting your area soon!
