Last week I had the chance to meet up with a few fellow area bloggers and take a little stroll around some of the shops and boutiques at Linden Square in Wellesley. You’ve never heard of Linden Square? Let me tell you a little bit about it! Linden Square is a 250,000-square-foot shopping, dining and lifestyle destination located in the heart of Wellesley, MA and it’s only ten miles outside of Boston. There are all sorts of fun shops, restaurants and services to choose from there.
Our first stop of the day was Roosters Men’s Grooming Center. At Roosters, you’re going to get charm and comfort of a classic barbershop, but it’s combined with barbers who are skilled in modern men’s haircuts and grooming techniques. In order to demonstrate a little bit of what they do there at Roosters, we all had the opportunity to shave a balloon with a straight edge razor. Trust me, it wasn’t as easy as it looks.
The first shop we visited was Kenzie, which has all sorts of great gift ideas for kids, tweens and teens! They had so many fun things like these super cool donut pillows (pictured below) that I loved, lots of clothing, accessories, party dresses and so much more. Kenzie definitely caters more towards girls from ages 7-14, but there are a few boys things in there, too.
Right next door to Kenzie was Tiny Hanger, which specializes in items for babies & toddlers. They had lots of fun toys, clothing, shoes and things you need for your little ones (think bibs).
After that we headed over to Magic Beans to hear about some of the hot toys this year. In addition to the classics like Legos and Playmobil sets, things like Sands Alive, Minecraft toys and board games are really popular this year. I am planning on getting my boys a few of those Minecraft toys because that’s huge in my house right now.
After all the fun with toys, we had a chance to head over to Bonsoir Fine Linens. There we were able to look at all the gorgeous holiday decorations they sold, get some Christmas tablescape ideas, as well as watch some napkin folding demonstrations.
Over at Sara Campbell, we got to look at some of the amazing ladies clothing and accessories that are hot this season. I wanted one of everything in the store.
Next up was Tobey Grey, where we got to check out some more of the latest casual fashions for both men and women. I am hoping Santa brings me a few things from Tobey Grey this year. Did you know that they will hem your jeans for you there if they are too long and their staff will help you find a pair that’s just right for you. I love that kind of personalized attention.
And then we came to CERI, or as I called it, heaven. I am all about the accessories and CERI is the place to go if you are looking for jewelry, handbags, scarves, clutches or clothing. They had a little bit of everything and I could have easily spent all day (and all my husband’s money) in there.
About 2/3 of the way into our window shopping adventure, we stopped for lunch at The Cottage.
When we arrived at our table, there were(jack + cheddar cheese, guacamole, spiced sour cream, pico de gallo) and (crispy, boneless, papaya-buffalo sauce, pineapple salsa. blue cheese dip) waiting for us. Both were divine.
(feta cheese, grilled red onions, guajillo chile aioli, arugula, avocado, toasted ciabatta) which was beyond amazing. If you go to The Cottage, try it – you’ll thank me.
You can see The Cottage’s full lunch menu here if you’re planning on going. And you totally should.
Our final stop of the day was IMPULSE and this was another one of those places where I wanted to take home one of everything. In addition to one of the most amazing collections of jewelry I’ve ever seen, they had a whole wall of Sisco Berluti bracelets and I was lucky enough to start my collection that day thanks to the lovely ladies at IMPULSE. Now I think I am hooked, though – I want one in every color.
While you’re at Linden Square, you can get your fitness on, too. You’ve probably heard all the buzz about Barre classes, right? Well Pure Barre at Linden Square runs new client specials so that you can go try barre for yourself. In addition, you can stop in there for gift cards, fitness attire and more!
Interested in a fancy schmancy holiday twist in your hair? You should stop by Salon Maleah. ln addition to all the regular hair services they provide including color, cuts, styling, foils, perms and straightening, they will style your hair for any holiday parties you have coming up. While we were there, we were able to watch a few of the stylists demonstrate how to get the latest holiday looks on a few of my fellow bloggers. The lighting didn’t cooperate, so I don’t have any pictures for you, but the two ladies that had twists put in their hair came out absolutely lovely.
If you’re worn out from all that shopping, call Bella Sante and set up an appointment. Bella Sante is a “Best of Boston” day spa offering facials, massages, body treatments, vichy water treatments, pedicures, and manicures.
Finally, we can’t forget our four legged friends. Unleashed by Petco provides all the Petco know-how and knowledge in a unique smaller store which is convenient and fun. You can get all of your pet supplies, dog training and grooming in the Wellesley store.
Sounds like a great place to shop, right? If you’re thinking about heading over there to get the rest of your holiday shopping done (and I highly suggest you do because there is even more stuff there than what I told you about), they’re located at 181 Linden St in Wellesley. Be sure to check out their current events, too. You never know what fun things might be going on over there.
